I'm a pro at decoding babelfish so:
first paragraph talks about level 50 Geralt having 12 skill slots. Compared to W2 where his cap was 30
second paragraph talks about how only in the prologue the monsters are within Geralts low level and that geralt gets little experience points vanquishing them and that each time you level up you get one point to put on the level up tree (Just like on w2)
3rd paragraph they go into further details. you start with 3 slots, at level 6 you get the fourth, when you get the 12th and final slot you'll be by level 50. this skill slots are combined with the mutagen slot for extra bonuses . you get and incredibly larger bonus; (around 40%) if you match the colors. You get the mutagens by fighting tough monsters. So monster hunting is important for gameplay.
4th paragraph talks how tough opponents and monsters that are higher than you are very common. the player when he first left the prologue area and went riding towards the next main quest he sees bandits who where much stronger than geralt (with a skull showing that they were of higher levels) even on the first village he met quests that where level 20.
5th talks about how the designers made the game to be a challenge but that they balanced it by making the main roads safer.
6th but if you go exploring a random cave dont be surprised if a level 7 geralt faces a level 25 wivern.
all in all interesting article, at first i was worried that CDP wasnt balancing the game properly. but on further thinking i see what they are trying to do. I get the feeling that they are doing something similar to Fallout NV. where they used overly strong monsters to lead the player on a certain path,. which in turn made for a more solid story. If that is indeed CDP plan then i praise them because that m,ight be a good design choice to make the plot more concise.
althouth im worried that my original plan for W3 will be too tough for me
