That screen looks awful. Is Geralt suffering from bulimia now?
They really should uphold a moratorium on old renderer screens from now on.

Well, it's not just that, but we're looking at uploads of scans of printed photos of screenshots of images in the old renderer. Even if you're seeing the printed photos directly, there's going to be losses.

But yes, we really do need to start seeing some better images. Otherwise, I keep thinking it'll be like TW2, where some websites are still rolling out the same old tired and inaccurate images a year after launch.

The imagined scene plays out in the environment. A blue spectre appears, is lifted off his feet, struggles against an unseen airborne assailant, and is thrown violently onto the spike.

It's not a good sign that this mechanic reminds me of cheesy American detective shows.

Well if it helps people in visualizing the events, then great.

On a related note: this aspect of the witcher senses seems more related to Geralt's intuition as an experienced witcher, rather than to some powers conferred upon him via his mutations.

Witcher 3 is a standalone story. Old gamers will find some references to the previous titles, but there should be no problem for newcomers just diving into the lore.

This answer worries me for some reason, especially coming from the gameplay director.

"Be warned – button mashing won't take you anywhere." - Now that's what I like to hear! :)
Also CG movie graphics quality? :D Time for my happy dance again!

I think this means that our previous game decisions will not have an effect on this game. I've made peace with that *sigh*

Yes, I agree. I got the same impression from this article... But I guess, We cannot do anything else, just make peace with that. :(

does this meen the save import from TW2 and posible TW will be close to pointless? i was realy looking forward to the posibility that our choises to let Letho, Berengard LIVE and all the other big decisions to have a big impact on the story.....any chance of it not turning into TW2 import case where all the difference was in some dialog optiones and gear?

That's one that probably deserves its own thread. :)

Something new to add- just went live today.

Starts at 26 minute mark- Story Writer Jakub Szamalek https://soundcloud.com/am640/video-game-sophistry-april-4th

Overview of the Witcher 3 Universe and the role of Geralt

31 minute Mark- Talks about transporting saves and the level of impact that decisions will have on your current playthrough. Still approachable to new players.

32 minute Mark: Outlining how the 50 Hours of Side quests will be played. “Easily longer than 100 Hours of ancillary content” each quest will seem unique, interesting and different”

33 minute Mark: Each sidequest will have one or two or more endings, and will have impacts on the main narrative of the game.

35 minute mark: They are working on 50 major side quests, but you can complete main story without ever picking them up, but if you do you’ll learn about the true motivations of particular characters”

Soundcloud one added. I think I may have missed some others over the last two or three days, as I haven't been around much. If so, can someone let me know?

CDPR is one of the first to come out and claim straddling current gen and next gen is a mistake. I've felt the same as we see more and more devs calling their upcoming releases next gen when in fact they'll have to cater to current gen tech. I applaud you CDPR.
