No need for this online/multiplayer features. This is not GTA or Assassins Creed. Its the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt.

Do you mean like the bloodstains in Dark Sould but rather in letter form or something?

Lie is too big word. I believe they removed the option for some reasons.

Some online feature would be the last thing I want to see in a witcher game. But if I can turn it off there would be no problem.

One can only the imagine the horror when you are standing in the rain watching a sunset and a pop up notifies you that Sidspyker has beaten your high score without the option to turn it off.

I will say about the online functionality the same thing i said when there were rumors of multiplayer, if CDPRED thought about it, them, the creators of the saga that keeps us crazy here in the forums, then they must have a really good reason and idea for such feature, simple as that.

The benefits of online sharing and other types of similar things are quite numerous, its just a tool, if used right its great, if not its crap. I trusted them for including a worth while non intrusive multiplayer feature and i now trust they can easily provide a well worth online functionality.

We will see indeed, the best thing that I can think of is having an arena with stats to compare. That would work without being intrusive.

Arena on X360 it already had that. I am sure it's the recording your gameplay on consoles to share on youtube and the rest of the world. No big deal, we all knew this I thought:(

“We’ll not deliver exclusive content to any of the platforms, nor will we artificially delay release of the game on any of the platforms because somebody’s paying us money for that. It’s definitely against our values. We are not doing that.”

I just want to say THANK YOU to all CDPR devs. I know you probably hear this a lot, but I really cannot thank you all enough for treating your customers with respect. It is an idea that has been completely abandoned by damn near every AAA developer and publisher and it does NOT go unnoticed. I will already be buying TW3 collector's edition at launch, but I just want to say, it is business practices like this that will keep me a loyal fan for life. You guys deserve more than money, you deserve respect. Thank you!

Im so agree with you @Cipher-Six, CDPR is a company that work for the fan! I will buy too the collector edition just because you decide to simply respect the fans! Seriously if i could give you a big hug, i would do it. Unless i hug you at E3 this year! :w00t::w00t::w00t::w00t:

But really keep the good work you're doing because its companies like that i want to support!
Like someone in a movie that i dont remember already said: come great power comes great responsibility (i think its in spiderman)

We all love CDPR As longest thier future games sell well they dont need any deals with "big two" DLC are not important as longest thier games stay on PC as leading platform they can do what they want with exclusive deals on consoles.

Look at Rockstar Games and GTA4 xbox exclusive deal worth 75$ million. That was 5 years ago, today this deal would be worth triple that.. atleast. GTA5 sales hit 1 billion$ in 3 days for consoles alone. Imagine one platform can have game like that for itself for 6 months paying only 100-200$ million to developer.

CDPR said a while back that they would not sell us any DLC unless it's big and worth our time and money, and when I say our time and money.. I really mean their time and money. They will not make it unless it is fun and worth playing I mean buying ;)

Great news and it shows that CD Projekt is one of the good guys. That said, it also says something about the current video game market that such a dicision is news and different from the norm.

The online social thingy scares me a bit though.

The online thing doesn't scare me at all. CDPR have been clear on this being a huge SP game. What scares me is how they are going to square their patching and free DLC policy with the likes of MS and Sony. The only way console and PC users got all the same content last time was because the xbox port was a year later.

So, maybe they won't do any pre-order DLCs this time so they don't have to deal with the issue? And I don't think patching will cost users anything, the cost will be on CDPR's side. But having in mind what kind of gazillions they will make on TW3, I guess they are not too worried about that :)

I personally believe this DLC shit has to stop. Companies like Ubisoft announce DLCs before the game is even released. If you know your story is unfinished before the game is released and you should make a DLC to finish it then you should hold off and add it to the main game. It's a cheap way to charge more than 60$ for a game. I have utmost respect for CDPR because they are not into these kind of shady business, and they respect their customers and their intellect. Releasing the enhanced version of Witcher 2 proved that CDPR cares about the fans more than profits.
Thank you CDPR, and please don't go down the path big companies like Ubisoft have.
