Wasn't really much to ruin with all the Skyrim comparison articles that TW3 has had, and will have next week. You just had to ruin the joke didn't you >_>
Crikey. That would be their longest prologue yet. I've no problem with that, Witcher games are known for their slow starts, but it might put some people off.It was on the polish side that he mentioned, took him ~5 hours to complete the prologue. It was linked somewhere.
Not if it's fun, and they do it in a way that keeps you wanting moreCrikey. That would be their longest prologue yet. I've no problem with that, Witcher games are known for their slow starts, but it might put some people off.
I know some people who were put off by the witcher 2 prologue, but just because of was so linear. This time it seems to be a small open world like the acts in witcher 2. So I don't see that much of a problem, althought some people might expect a skyrim experience, where the whole world opens very quickly. But Witcher 3 was never supposed to be a sandbox game like skyrim, so it's their fault and not the developers.Crikey. That would be their longest prologue yet. edit- never mind, I read your other post about it being a hub. Maybe the guy just milled around there for a long time.
No, Marcin said here that prologue should more or less take you 5 hours. Might less, might more depends how fast you play through it, but in the end 5 hours is standard.edit- never mind, I read your other post about it being a hub. Maybe the guy just milled around there for a long time.

Your probably right. That assumption is most likely wrong though. The reason the prologue is this long is most likely the need to re-tell Geralt's past. I doubt it's all flash-backs but at least they have to introduce Yen and Ciri and maybe Emphyr. Judging by the SoD trailer it could be set in Kaer Morhen (both in present and during flash backs) which would be really nice :]
There are probably few important choices during that section of the game. And it's a closed of quest hub with a linear story. I just hope it wont feel to repetitive during multiple playthrough's (TW 2's Prologue never bores me no matter how many times i complete it but it's pretty short by comparison).
