I've heard to some things about 4chan running hundreds of fake SJW accounts to stir shit up and expose the true ones...
I have no way of knowing whether the report is factual. But it would not come as a total surprise to me, considering what they have said (and implied): they have not yet done optimization (and there is a lot of optimization that needs doing).
Fundamental optimizations include things like tuning DX11 tessellation (which can be a huge performance hog when it's used at too-fine detail), culling (removing objects you cannot see from the pipeline as early as possible), decisions on how much rendering to defer (which affects expensive calculations like lighting), and using multithreading effectively.
A key to doing optimization well is this: You cannot do it too early. If you optimize before you have a system complete enough to measure, you will optimize the wrong things. This is an expensive waste of time. Since it appears that they have pretty much the full detail they intend, they should be in a position to optimize well, but it would have been too early to do so earlier.
I would have done the same. Get the most features and the most detail ready to demonstrate, and demonstrate it on a one-off set of hardware that can do it justice. Then go back and optimize in the relative quiet that follows.
Gail Simone is one. The other is the fact that this how TW3 is perceived by some - it's RELEVANT. Hell, I want as many people as possible to play The Witcher and every bad or false thing said about it bothers me in some way.

There is no arguing with people such as these who pull accusations out of thin air just to be able to validate their world view. They are not going to change. The best things to do then is to offer cogent and reasonable argument that allow other people to see for themselves who's in the right.
