Introduction
I love the witcher (both 1 & 2), I admire how such an unknown studio has created a game that is visually stunning and has a story many professional authors can be jealous of. The quality of their work isn't just above standard, it replaced my current standard alltogether. And they did it all WITHOUT bugging their software with DRM. I love that about CD Project (Red, Blue or whatever color of the rainbow they decide to use).
Having said that, I've mostly spent my time interested in D&D like fantasy worlds. The closest thing to cyberpunk games and lore I have played is the Mass Effect series (and I still have to find time to play ME3). Before you start calling me a blasphemer; yes I know that calling Mass Effect a cyberpunk game is a stretch of the definition. I was basing myself on the fact they have mechs, implants and futuristic tech.
As you can see, I'm really new to cyberpunk. Now my question to this (hopefully awesome) community is: where do I start reading? Are there any good fiction novels or books I can read on the Cyberpunk universe? Neuromancer and a couple of other cyberpunk books have been on my to read list for a long time now and this announcement is just the thing to get me really into cyberpunk. But what are other good books about this universe (or similar universe)? I don't want to feel like a complete newbie when I first fire up this game when it releases.
