Inventory full - can I drop/sell books and contracts?

Hi all,Just started this game and quite engrossed! Just a simply question. My inventory is full, and I have quite a few books and contracts in it, all already read. Once read, can I drop or sell a contract or book , but still retain the info in my journal/questlog?Thanks,P.

Drop the contracts but don't throw away the books!!! Books can be worth good money, sell them!(oops sorry, didn't realize this thread was from half a year ago)

Can I drop the contracts even if the quest connected to them have not been finished yet?My inventory is constantly full, and it's rather annyoing.Btw, any tips on what to keep and what to sell? Right now I have a lot of different foods and beer, plus a stack or two of flint, and some other things I've found in barrels and whatnot. What is worth keeping, what do you actually need?

Yes. You have to read the contracts, your questlog will be updated, you can throw them away taking account of the environment protection.

Bring your luggage to the innkeeper. His inventory is infinite.

Thanks. I've been keeping the contracts as I was afraid the quests would be 'lost' if I got rid of the contracts. Good to know I can toss them as inventory space is a neverending problem. Difficult to know what I need and not, and I like to try to pick up everything so I have some way of knowing which buildings I've been to and not. If I see text over a barrel, I suspect I haven't checked it out yet. Would be nice if there was some way to know where you have been before (besides the map expanding).

Yes, this is a bit confusing. I often check places once again because I don't remember I've been there already.Food regenerates vitality (not much but better than nothing). NPCs (mostly with blue ring) take food in change for info about monsters. You get an entry in your journal then and don't need to buy expensive books. You don't need more than one stack of flint. Usually you can ignite a fireplace with Igni but this sign doesn't work in places which are marked with not dangerous. It's at daytime in towns. That's the only occasion when you need a flint.

Would be nice if we could piss on the wall or something, to mark our territory :DAll that beer gotta go somewhere...I haven't gotten Igni yet, but I suppose that will happen later in Chap 1 or 2. I trust the game will throw it at me when it's time. Haven't meditated much so far, and try to do it indoors instead, but there is so much flint around everywhere that I can't imagine it would be a problem, even if you meditate more than Buddha.

Indoors? You have to pay the innkeeper when you want to take a rest to meditate. Only at Kalkstein's and Shani's places you can take a nap for free (a few other minor NPCs as well).

I usually find a fire somewhere. One time I napped with the thugs by the river for example, where Haren lived, or whatever his name was. The stuttering bloke. Don't see why I should waste money on sleeping in the Inn when it's so easy to find places for free.
