invisible text after 3.1

Hi guys,
I haven't played in a while and I thought giving the game another go,
so I checked in the site for updates, downloaded 3.1 and loaded the game.

Now every non-highlighted text (something with the mouse over it) is invisible!

anybody know the problem, or how to fix?

Were you on 2.0 or 2.1 when you applied the 3.1 patch ? If so then you need to install the enhanced edition first .

I already had the EE installed, and my drivers are updated.
