Wait, they were planning to put Isengrim instead of Iorveth in TW2?shame they didnt go with Isengrim as originally planned instead of creating Iorveth..
They could have added him in TW3 but nope, except Avallac'h there isn't a single interesting character who's an elf.shame they didnt go with Isengrim for W2 as originally planned instead of creating Iorveth..
yeah, i read that some time ago that originally Isengrim was supposed to be there, but later they changed that and created Iorveth. i think even Wiki is mentioning thisWait, they were planning to put Isengrim instead of Iorveth in TW2?
also - its said he (and Isengrim) survived the massacre of the Vrihedd Brigade at the Ravine of the Hydra, yet book mention only one person surviving it - Isengrim. The physical description of Iorveth in the journal entry is a direct quote of the physical description of Isengrim Faoiltiarna in Chrzest Ognia (Baptism of Fire).
or
The character of Iorveth , despite being named from one character from the novels, is clearly modelled on another, Isengrim Faoiltiarna.
Marcin said that both Saskia and Iorveth are alive.btw, arent some Scoiatel NPCs talking about Iorveths death in W3? Remember hearing something about him being riddled by arrows or something
Fraction yes, but no just a few players. Taking your own sentence, why put Roche just for a fraction of players?Phew, I'm genuinely relieved that CDPR don't put them as a filler just to pander to a fraction of players
So sorry, i just wanted that my choices from TW2 to be somehow concrete.Phew, I'm genuinely relieved that CDPR don't put them as a filler just to pander to a fraction of players
Well, Geralt in Toussaint doesn't make sense either.Well, I kinda liked the character of Iorveth, but it made no sense for him to be in Toussaint, really.
And no Saskia? Phew, thank god, she was literally my least favorite character in the games, even after the new Eredin.
depends on what will happen in Toussaint and when... who knows what CDPR is preparing for us, but if its as good as Heart of Stone, it will be quite a ride...Well, Geralt in Toussaint doesn't make sense either.
Even if I kill Saskia in TW2?Marcin said that both Saskia and Iorveth are alive.
No idea, honestly, Dijkstra is a quite self-sufficient man, he could pull his line of quests alone. Taler and Roche just seemed fit for these spy games, so they put it like 'why not?'Fraction yes, but no just a few players. Taking your own sentence, why put Roche just for a fraction of players?
Apparently.Even if I kill Saskia in TW2?
Iorveth fits helping Nilfgaard against the Northern Kingdoms or helping the non humans of Novigrade once Radovid takes the city. In the main story, almost every character of TW2 could fit perfectly. IMO the reason why Roche is in the game is because the character is more simple than Iorveth. In a game who tries to attract the mainstream public is easier to put a patriot who is fighting for his defeated country than an elf who is fighting for his race and could support both factions or none of it.No idea, honestly, Dijkstra is a quite self-sufficient man, he could pull his line of quests alone. Explain the Baron. Or O'Dimm. Or Olgierd. Instead of making it into this conspiracy theory why not just accept he was probably cut for dev time, and that's it? They needed to get the game out, Iorveth's part wasn't done and wasn't essential, so he got cut.Iorveth fits helping Nilfgaard against the Northern Kingdoms or helping the non humans of Novigrade once Radovid takes the city. IMO is something like that: simple characters=easy to understand=more new players=more money.
Anyway, I think everyone knows my opinion about the game
...Because it was fun within Witcher 2? Are you unable to enjoy the questline within W2 now because Iorveth doesn't show up in W3?No seriously. I need a refresher here. I am suddenly regretting ever making that choice. And now I feel as if I have to reinstall The Witcher 2, replay that game all over again, and THEN replay TW 3 all over again just so I can undo the terrible mistake of making a choice that has literally zero impact on the third game. I love ya CDPR. I really do. But the comic and now this? These were not....good moves to make in my honest to God opinion.
Conspiracy? He just made an assumption :thinking:Explain the Baron. Or O'Dimm. Or Olgierd. I'll explain. The Baron was the first part of the game. This part was one of the best because, I suppose, it was developed at the very beggining of the process. Once you aproach to the end the game, the number of inconsistencies grow, probably because they ran out of time. O' Dimm and Olgierd were an attempt to restore the level after many players complain about the poor quality of the Wild Hunt. Honestly, I can't share your opinion about that the half of TW2 is not essential.Explain the Baron. Or O'Dimm. Or Olgierd.
