Is 1.07's "alternative movement style" detailed anywhere? What is it exactly?

You all should quit asking questions that don't have an answer,or that Devs refuse to answer .Ask yourself this instead ,how many times will I buy a broken product from someone that can,t ot wont answer a simple friggin question!

I definitely agree on the movement part. The swordplay can be a little quirky but if good in my opinion with the exception of the locking mechanism which I think they are addressing.

I read in the patch notes the locking mechanism has been fixed to actually be consistently responsive now.

I hate this breed of complainers and belly achers that this game has garnered and these forums have turned into constant negativity.

They are fixing the game for you for free. They are giving you content for free. They have released remakes for their past games for free. You are the same fucking people that complained about the game being delayed and now you complain about the free fix for your game not being out yet. They're busy fucking working on it!!

I don't care if I am banned from this forum fuck all of you assholes. I am sick of this constant hate and bad mouthing of cd Projekt a company that has worked their godamn ass to please and reward their customers and gamers. Since day one!

While I am in full agreement with you, Unfortunately we live in a time of "I want it now", people don't seem to realize that 90+ bug fixes and additions to the game IN A SINGLE PATCH is unheard of... That alone shows how hard these guys are working nonstop to ensure their "Fans" are happy. no matter what is done their will be folks who piss and moan.

They've answered tons of question, wtf are you talking about?

They've also said, multiple times, that fixes for things not yet confirmed will not be addressed since they don't know if these will make it into the next patch or not.

Moving through crowds more easily would be great. I'm thinking Assassin's Creed style, where you could just gently push through people around you. Probably not easily doable as a patch, but maybe in future Witcher games.

Also, Geralt should run / walk the same way indoors. Currently when you enter a building, it defaults to walk only.

Third, climbing arbitrary cliffs should be possible, if they're clearly reachable. Good example are various beach areas, where you sometimes need to walk around long distances just to get back up on the upper level.

a lot of these areas have tricky sort of jumps off of weird slightly popped out brickets or rocks that allow you propel yourself upward and hope that that jump upward allows you to hit another.

This is interesting, the AC style itself would likely not work well since W3 is not based on that stealth mechanic (blending in), but as far as bumping into NPCs, it would be nice to not get the same reaction from running into someone at full speed as you do when you barely nudge them as you try to walk around slowly.

At least differentiate the default NPC reaction based on whether you are walking vs jogging/running.

By default he runs, and every time you load the game he starts running even though when I saved I had already toggled to walk. I'd like to change the default to walk as personally I feel walk makes more sense, people don't spend all day running, you run when needed, the rest of the time you walk, and for longer distances you ride.

I was about to write the same think about the default running walking ... it is indeed very annoying every time I get off the horse to toggle walk.. WALK Is more immersive and more realistic I like more walkin` as geratl is more controllable. Died countless times when forgetting that the default is RUNNING and of course i fall or go near enemies and viola .. GOT REKT !

I still can understand nor comprehend HOW such skilled devs decided to MISS so many essentials control options and visual effects that affect so much the game play. Still wondering the great decision about locking the KEY bindings for PC users about movement for the release version of w3.. I MEAN WHAT THE HECK CD red ... are you trolling us or something ?! ?! What was the reason behind this decisions ??? See ?? You wasted time just to fix something that is a standard in PC gaming ...

I would ...mm NO, WE WOULD love to have some kind of official explanation about limiting us for choosing either to turn off or on the auto center camera .. or the default to be walk.. or to have the options to remove the horrible camera effect which nobody i repeat NOBODY LIKES !

I pray to the gods (or CDProjekt) to implement a toggle walk on/off option. In most foruns that i participate, the absence of such option is the main complaint. It is frustrating, annoying, irritating when instead of walking you get to run.

QFT. This^ is what I've been waiting for (similar to how Skyrim has it) you can toggle always run, sprint and normally walk. It is quite annoying sometimes Geralt is constantly running in a small room trying to search something for a quest but easily skips over it because he is running around.

It is my understanding (I haven't played with the new movement style yet) that it is a change in the sensitivity of movement. I can't give you more details as I haven't had hands on with it yet but if you think of it in terms of sensitivity & responsiveness rather than a complete overhaul of the existing system, you will be in the right ballpark for when it is released.

It's more annoying that you can't even be bothered with checking the damn controls for the game.

I can confirm what Chris said. I've been playing with it for a while now and generally Geralt is just more responsive. So if I want to go left, Geralt goes left and does not make a longer turn that would probably look more realistic, but is of course less responsive if you are playing a video game.
Personally since they introduced that alternative style in the company, I switched to it and never turned back. I like it very much. :)

Pardon for my English but you mean changes that made into Geralt movement respond is all about making 3D movement into 2D movement?
