Is another patch coming?

Just curious. I keep putting off replaying the game in the hope the devs will reconfigure combat, fix the bomb throwing bug, and tweak a few other oft cited issues.

Certainly the game isn't unplayable in its current state. But the gap of polish between vanilla TW and TWEE is huge. If this is to be expected for TW2, I'd rather wait for incoming fixes. If not, I'll play anyway, bugs be damned.

If you try to throw when you are out of bombs, the camera locks up and Geralt can't swing his sword until he gets hit at least once. Kinda throws a wrench in the whole hardcore mode idea.

Yup. Terrible terrible bug. Slim it's not only when you throw when your out of bombs it can happen even you have a bunch. It's happened to me and I have over 200 Zerrikanian sun grenades yet it happens a lot especially during boss fights.

You're thinking about it all wrong. It's not a bug--Geralt is just so hardcore that no one tells him what to do. Not even the player.

But I suspect that a new patch is being worked on, given some comments by the RED team on another forum about how they're "working on" fixing the shadows in 3D. It'd be strange to fix that in a patch and not at least clean up some of the problems that were created by patch 1.3. That's just an assumption, of course, but I do think it's reasonable.

200 bombs...seriously?...omg!

Anyway...I do hope they fix all those input bugs. They're plagueing the game since version 1.0 and it's a tiny bit disappointing that CD Project Red was unable to sort them out, yet.

There will definitely be another patch. CDPR announced showing a trailer for a large DLC which will be part of an upcoming patch at Gamescom.

So @KnightofPhoenix, the odds aren't that bad that we'll see some additional Act3-content, too.

I really can't wait for another patch. I mean this game was sooooo friggin awesome I played it 5 times to try different builds/storymode and difficulties. Everytime I started again because well this game is sooo darn close to perfect.

Tho i hope the're will be some fixes like mentioned above, but even that didnt spoil my gameplay. Hopefully they will add some content for chapt 3 and 4. In my opinion chapter 4 could use some more content cuz it's so damn short.

Anyway I really love this game. It was really worth the long waiting since part 1.

btw I still remember my first visit to Flotsam, just epic...

a trailer for the next DLC at GamesCon? Let´s hope this is not liked to the next patch, otherwise this patch will take forever... GamesCon is in 2 Weeks.... so this content takes even longer due to be trailered at GamesCon...

200??? Now, I love playing toss-a-bomb but I never had 200 at the ready.

I agree that the little freeze frame thing is annoying. Perhaps the hiccup will get resolved in future. *crosses fingers*

Yeah and if Deus Ex wont be here in time it will be an out-rage! I'm so fricking looking forward to this one! I hope it will do to the science-fiction-rpg-genre what The Witcher 2 did to the fanatasy-rpg-genre (though the latter is much more fucked up due to lazy games like DA2).

Its you ho post this -unplayable TW2- not me...and their is nothing to do with pagan-metal
Besides their will be always some issues with games, game will never be 100% done so you can keep waiting for miracle or be one day alighted...

So, absolutely no reason to make mischief.

I think we all agree that TW2 - while great - still has some rough edges, we'd like to see filed off and polished.

Is this really the issue? I've been having this problem (controls/camera freezing up and needing to get hit or wait >30 seconds for it to resume), and I always knew it was combat related, but have you re-created the problem and found that your theory repeatedly holds up? If so, that's great because then it's easy to patch. I've just been worried that CDP would just assume that the problem is drivers related...in which case good luck with a fix.
