Is it just me or does anyone else want a backstory DLC for TW2?

Is it just me or does anyone else want a backstory DLC for TW2?

So, I'm wondering... is it just me or has anyone else wanted a backstory DLC for TW2? A bit like the Genesis DLC for Mass Effect 2, which let's you choose the major choices in the first game, but better.

Thought I'd add a poll.

Going to play me some TW2 2.0 soon :D

Not really. Decisions from Witcher 1 don't do much of anything really. In Mass Effect 2 you had some very minor additions also except which companion lived.

How about a "no" option?

A backstory DLC would be nice I guess, but then again, I don't really care, I have my old saves. I'd like it better if the DLC items that just magically appear in Geralt's inventory could be obtained through small quests, for example I'd love to get the blue stripes jacket from Roche himself after broing up a little with him.

You didnt add a no option to the poll.

That 6 option comic thing for ME2 was a travesty. I would never advise someone to just do that rather than play through ME1 and miss out on the many many choices that that comic thing dose not include.

Imo, dont be lazy, complete the first game and carry your save over, The Witcher or Mass Effect.

Tell that to the people with a PS3 only.

If it wouuld be done better then ME 2, I'd like it.

I mean, you could make the "big" desitions in Genesis, but all the minor ones (the side quest with the Asari who whanted her sister dead ,etc.) you had no control over... a fail, imo. On the other hand, a prequel sumary that included all the possible desitions would probably take an hour or more.^^

Still, I'd love to some more packground info on the first game... and on some of the not so flashed out aspects of the second... hell, the second game is too short!^^

No. Haha lol.

I didn't see the point in adding a "no" option. You might not care and you might not ever use it, but why would you specifically not want an optional DLC to be available?

I was disappointed in the lack of choices in the comic, but ultimately I don't have the time to plenty seventy hours of ME1 to get a perfect save for ME2. I've played through ME1 twice and both didn't turn out how I wanted them so I refused to use them. I'd have preferred a lot more choices in the comic, but oh well.

I've also played through TW1 about five or six times and I'm not interested in doing it again just for a play through in TW2, nor do I have the time.

Yeah, I'd like a two or three hour "save game generator" / comic, so I can get it how I want with little time.

PS3, Xbox360, even the PC has those few questions at the beginning.

But hey, each to their own :p

That's fair enough tbh, im just thinking of those that are going at it for the first time, or have the time to replay the game.

Yeah, I agree it's worth doing in those instances. I enjoyed The Witcher 2 more knowing the backstory, and I've enjoyed Mass Effect 2 more knowing the backstory as well (the former, I played TW1 first, the latter I played ME2 first.)

Yes, as long as you don't mean re-telling the TW1 story (I don't think you did?)

Any story-based DLC would be nice, regardless of what it is.

I'd prefer them to get the SDK out though, and let other people do it. There's enough evidence from TW1 that the community would be capable of producing such things.

A DLC about Geralt hunting the Wild Hunt, meeting Letho, Serrit and Auckes etc. would be cool. That's what I'd like to see.

Let them just focus on expansion or sequel. Frankly, I have yet to see good story DLC, and that's about content you pay for. I honestly can't see them make free quality DLC - it just requires too much hassle, time and resources.

Agree consentrate on expantion or the witcher 3.I think an expation that involves finding yenifer would be apropriate. And we could start witcher 3 all new with out having geralt say I cant rember lol.
