Is it me, or does everyone have a raging hardon for romancing Judy?

Almost every big characters in this game their own stans, Judy & Panam arguably the biggest one for romanceable characters.
I would argue that many players actually would love to romance some other non-romanceable characters (yet?) because the characters in this game gave such strong impressions, such as:
- Goro Takemura
- Viktor Vector
- Blue Moon (US Cracks)
- Lizzy Wizzy
- Misty
- Claire
- Melissa Rory? (Mantis Blade Lady 2013 trailer)
I am sure there are some other more.

Also, I personally wish Meredith Stout have her own long arc AKA deeper "main" romanceable character as it clearly could open the Militech & more corpo stories/scenarios. She even have her own sweet small tattoo that could alluded to an interesting past. This is even unfortunate as She is the ONLY BISEXUAL option (canon) in the game hehe

There's others that I wanted as options. Some that would make you go WTF. Because I wanted evil outcomes. Or romances to turn evil characters good. And also to flesh out unused characters to the overall game. Placide being one. Yes, Voodoo's are shit. But wouldn't been interesting to turn him good. Or join the Voodoo's to gain control over Pasifica. Unlocking perks for the final mission. Or special upgrades to your body. That's the RPG element that the game seriously lacks. Judy romance should allow you into Mox and get perks for their gang.

This is a worrying trend im seeing lately here. The rest of romances can have lengthy discussions about the character, their hobbies, what they like etc. But for Judy threads its all either about her sexuality or threads demanding to change her. It's sad to see how she gets reduced like this. I just want to talk about Judy dammit.

I'm by no means an expert, but here's why that is, IMHO, and why it doesn't surprise me in the slightest. Lets consider some general assumptions:
- Most gamers are male
- Most people are straight, therefore most gamers are straight
- Most gamers will probably pick their own sex when making a character, therefore most gamers will first create a male character

No percentages here - I don't have any statistical charts, but I'd be willing to make a good bet that the above statements are true.

Now lets add one more fact:
- The romance "options" (plural) in the game don't exist. There's ONE romance option. Unless you're bisexual, then you get two, but (see point two) most gamers aren't bi.

Thus you get a lot of posts from a) people somewhat disappointed with the general lack of choice and b) just being disappointed with the lack of THIS particular choice.

Panam also... calls V to do her bidding. So. I mean everyone in this game does.

As I said: She always wanted help, because she wasn't able to do something alone. I had the impression that V is reduced on his/her abilities as mercenary. In the whole game, almost every person. And Judy was extreme.
The only real friend V had... okay, you know what I mean.
At least P. knows how to handle a rifle AND a tank and a group of nomades. Wouldn't expect less.

Edit: I didn't played a female V but I don't know how CDP could handle the lovestory between Judy&V if she already was in love with somebody else.

Why would asking for help be a sign of weakness? It can be a show of trust and compliment to the person asked in their ability. And even if it somehow was a flaw, what of it? Who would be able to relate with characters that have no flaws? Would there be any room to grow for them if there weren't any?

Understandable. In this case they could make threads about wanting more LI's in future content. Sadly, most of times this is not the case with Judy. Most of times they involve her to ask about sexuality change. I get how the game has limited options and not everyone likes Judy or Panam, this is a perfect moment to make a thread to ask for more love interests in new DLCs.

I mean a lot of ppl can be disappointed about a lot of things and I get it. They got unlucky in this part and so i'm here to say that I hope there will be more love interests and hope they'll be up to the disappointed person's tastes.:ok:

Okay, then Panam also wasn't able to do anything herself, as she was constantly calling V for help, even though she had other people. Judy had no one, she called her only friend.

Relationship on the same level.
They had a deal: V helped her with the stolen car and stolen goods. And she took the AV to the ground, so V could talk to the Arasaka-Guy. He couldn't done this alone, she had the skills and the knowledge

Maybe it is a female/male player thing? I accept that men can carry beer better then me. But working as an engineer in IT I can't cry for male help everytime, either. I'm more Panam, so I like her much better.
(Although the scene in the tank was a little strange, bc she looks like me, too. Thank god I baked me a cute V )

Mhm, and later she still calls V for help to steal the basilisk and then to test it and defend the camp. Can't do it herself, even though she has her whole Nomad family

I have a raging hardon for more dialogue, more adventures, more story content in general regarding Judy.

Does that count?

Considering Meredith was a huge disappointment in terms of a bisexual love interest (I had a corpo v ready for her).

They missed the opportunity with her. But even if they do add 2 love interests or more, pretty sure some will be disappointed again, oh well not everyone has the same tastes and CDPR can't please everyone.

The relationship starts on the same level with the deal. And in one ending she helped V.
Judy is in my storyline on a roadtrip to her grandparents, leaving V (best friend?) alone with a deadly relict in his head.
So why should V be interested in her? I wish her all the best in a lesbian relationship, byebye...

My appreciation for Judy is very skewed by my own personal life experiences, as she's basically every girl I've ever had a crush on and 2 girlfriends I really appreciated mashed into a single character.

Double standards much? Kerry and River leave V if you go with the Nomad ending. Panam and Judy leave V if you don't go with the Nomad ending, yet V is still dying.

Same. It was a bit of a disappointment that we didn't get a proper romance with her.

CDPR is definitely suffering from BioWare LI syndrome: Not all characters in the game are romanceable.

It's their fault for making such awesome characters.

It's almost inevitable these days, you make a likeable great character and the player base will want to bang them.

I blame decades of game development putting sex as the end goal of romance options for creating that standard now.

Well, about that: during that same mission, moments before stealing the Basilisk, if you are "romancing" Panam and you talk with Carol, she will ask you something like: "Panam called you here, to help her, despite having us all. Do you understand why?"

So, to be honest... it's pretty much hinted that Panam calls the male V just to have him there. :)

That said, I like them both, but I personally prefer Panam. Hope every relationship will get a chance to be deepened and expanded - and that new ones will be added in the future. ç_ç
