Is it true that certain cars are more effective on certain terrain?

I don't want to reinstall the game to check. I found an interview by a CDPR dev last year that says different vehicles are more effective on certain terrains such as a sports car isn't going to do you justice on offroad terrain. A nomad car is better in the badlands.

Is this true? It would explain why the driving was so garbage when I played the game.

I mainly used bikes and it did feel like Jackie’s bike was pretty awful in Badlands, but Scorpion’s bike was alright.

From my experience the Brennan Apollo or his variant "scorpion" is more effective in the badlands compared to the other motorcycle

I personally felt the nomad cars felt far better controlled.. And definitely on sand, they absolutely feel better. Street cars spin bad out in desert. Or, theyre just SO bad that they spin everywhere. Personally, I think its the first.

Yes.

The cheapest cars are absoloute shit to handle on almost any terrain. That little Smart Car knock off needs to burn in hell.

Nomad cars handle well on almost any terrain - but you really notice them off road. They just grip.

It is true. Off road is best off road. Sport cars do better on highways. City driving sucks overall. Bikes are awesome! Find one that fits you. My go to car is the Javelina and fave bike is the akira bike.

I think the Nomad vehicles handle best on all terrains. The Javelina is fast and handles quite well as BlazinBender mentioned.

Yes they are. Cars that appear to have low ride height really have that, it isn't just visual. Also small wheelbase isn't optimal for cross country exploration in game, like so it works like in real life.

Road cars in the badlands were awful to use. Off terrain nomad cars were easier to steer and handle. Same for bikes.

Yes, cars like the Typ 66 Javelina or the gecko handle better in rough terrain like in the badlands and pretty much everywhere else

Car driving mostly suck cause cars got janky physics, example: cars got no suspension whatsoever, you can test that for yourself, if you go from left to right you will see the car won't wobble or tilt to one side or the other same goes when you step on the brakes, they simply don't behave in a way that will allow for pleasant driving.

I found every vehicle to be equally efficient at running into pedestrians and walls with the insane handling.
