when i finished the game the first time last year i hit level 37 or 38 if im not mistaken (or maybe it was 37 and a half after which i grinded skellige for 2xp monsters till i got to 38), and i completed 99.5% of the quests (leaving myself a margin for error, who knows maybe i missed 1 or two), and i takled the quests in a completely stupid order, meaning i went for the over-lvl quests, got exp, and then when i came back to the lower lvl quests i hardly got any exp, so im thinkin you can finish your first playtrhough above 43ish if u take quests propperly. After i finished it, i immediately started a new game plus playthrough when new game plus was made available.(without waitin for the expansions). My point is that if one tackles the game correctly one can squeeze out 40 lvls from the normal campaign and another 30 out of both expansions.
Thing is, i wanted to play it again, after i had completeed blood and wine, and i wanted a save file that was ng+ ready with both expansions completed (which i didn't have , because i only finished the main game , in normal mode, and the expansions on NG+) so i downloaded a save file from a forum which was lvl 69, and since i was confident (and still am) about the fact that 69 si a possible level to obtain, i went on and started playing.
I finished velen (all unexplored locations , excep for HoS ones and the one in the mountain u get later ), and played it once again in a stupid order, becuase i didnt want to actually think about it, and i wanted to enjoy it , i have like 15 sidequests left there which give no exp, because at the moment im lvl 93, and the quests are 77-82.
The problem is that i just now noticed the mastercrafted set requirements of 101 ...
And for the record its completely possible to finish the game at a ridiculous level , because last i checked running around killing white wolves and neckers isnt explotiing , and they give 2 exp, meaning 1000 eneemis killed = 1 lvl, and if someone has enough patience they could do it . I grinded half a lvl in 1 hour last year.. so it aint that hard
