is this statement still true?

im wondering if this statement is still true

http://i.imgur.com/e9fYsYI.png

because im worried the game will (concerning the graphics) not be as good as promised after seeing this stuff.

http://forums.guru3d.com/showpost.php?p=5069040&postcount=2003

Please dont delete this im just asking a question about a product i pre-ordered. I think its my right to know if the product will be as good as i was promised. i might consider canceling my order. its only fair to tell your costumers about the quality of your product before it is too late to cancel the order.

Thank you very much.

I believe it won't simply because of what they said about the vertical slice made for that time being really unplayable, and so they made these known textures which started the whole downgrade war.

If this is a legit thread then we'll monitor it closely but for the most part, these threads are turning into flamewars and hence why we're deleting them. As for the question - Going by what I'm seeing, I think they(SoD specifically) absolutely can be replicated with exceptions of certain artistical changes(colours mostly).

I don't think so. PC and PS4 look identical, is this game a console port after all?

From what I heard during the interview Docm77 did, the answer is simply no. The game just didn't exist at a playable level at that point and pretty much everything was changed since then.

Here's the interview for those that didn't see it, this is the first topic they talk about. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IU9rlkCOk9E

Hmm. Not to add fuel to the fire. But, honestly, my modded Skyrim looks better... If out of the box disappoints, will it be moddable?

There should be a way to change color. I remember Diablo 3 having something that you could just run over the game to make it dark.

Edit: Here's an example (sorry if this isn't allowed)

Yeah - unfortuantely keeping the consoles with the same quality as PC - hurt the PC community and will not look like the 2013 or the e3 playable demo.

:( Such high hopes - pre-order refunded. I'll get it when it's $20. Loved CDPR as a company too.

I don't think so. Simply put, it most likely was a 'damage control' answer. The game looks very pretty, however not revolutionary, get over it (absolutely no offense to anyone).

Since you offer a quotation of statements made by @Marcin Momot , I suggest you contact him, via private message, and politely ask him to reaffirm, or modify, his previous statements. Bear in mind, though, there may be a wait. (This may be done by clicking his name in this post.)

You know what? Right now I don't care so much about graphics anymore, and that's me .... being a graphics whore... :D?
The footage and screenshots I have seen, reviews I have read - they just confirm tha this game is going to be awesomeness!
I guess I have been spoiling myself too much these days - listening to the soundtrack, seeking out screenshots & videos. Yeah, and drinking some rum....
It is really strange that I don't count pixels anymore - I just want to get this game and plunge myself into its depths. And, yes, I know that graphically it is not that was shown 2 years ago anymore, but I am OK with that - it still looks ***king beautiful.
:hatsoff:
Downgrade my ass! I am going to savor and enjoy every minute of this masterpiece inbound.

SDK is confirmed to be released eventually so yes, I would assume so.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand. Who in hell has the PC version and how?
You still need 19th May for patch to play.

No reviewers has the PC version, no PC reviews.
So I'm confused.

Is that what we call them these days.

I wonder how much damage it will have controlled in the end...

"Please keep in mind that the game is still in production phase. Certain things are still being worked on.The final version of the game will look better than what can be seen in the latest screenshots – no matter the platform. As you probably know, when publishing screenshots, some of them can be subjectively less appealing than others (depending on one’s opinion), that’s perfectly normal. The most important thing here is that the game will come out looking gorgeous when we are done working on it. There will be no downgrade."

He also said this in october last year.

The accompanying article might be a worth a read, the author also mentions that they saw demonstrable footage in august of 2014 at the time with the game "looking fantastic and running smoothly". But of course that is totally unverified so grain of salt and all that.

There was that recent interview where they said it isn't fair to compare a trailer to gameplay, so the implication is the game probably can't replicate the quality of the Sword of Destiny stuff. Not entirely surprising, since the 35 minute demo didn't look as good as Sword of Destiny, and the game looks worse than that now.
