No. The reason is simple. There are two basic scenarios:For the most part I agree with you, I just don't think it's this simple though. If you have three versions of a game, a PS4, XBONE and PC version. PC version looks and runs the best, and is used for all the trailers, screenshots and other promotions. Wouldn't you be slightly disappointed if you only have a PS4 able to run the game with inferior graphics? (textures, resolution, lighting and so on).
1) I'm an informed gamer who reads news about my favorite games and watches videos and screenshots before release. If I'm that kind of informed user I know quite well that a high-end PC is more capable than a next-gen console. So there is no need to be disappointed because that's just common knowledge.
2) I'm an uninformed gamer and don't care about news and screenshots. I just buy my games once they are release. There is again no need to be disappointed since I probably never see another version of the game than my own. And even if I see it it should be pretty obvious that better (and more costly) hardware can render better graphics.
Yes and no. It should be obvious that a 2000$ PC is more capable than a 500$ console. So you might be jealous but hey, that's life. Go out and buy a PC yourself. It would be foolish to blame CDPR for not making all version equal just because you are too poor to afford a high-end gaming PC. World isn't fair but everyone has the chance to get the best possible version on the platform you can afford and own at leastLet's say you don't know what the game looks like on PC, you just saw the cover in the store and bought the game for your PS4. Then you go to your friend, who happens to have it on PC. Will you not be slightly disappointed if his version of the game looks a lot better then yours?
I don't know why a sane person should be disappointed just because a 2000$ PC can render better graphics than a 500$ console. Common sense should tell you that anyway. And there is no reason to make less good looking graphics on PC just to cater to those few who seem to argue just out of jealousy. Some people always complain, no matter what you do. But what did Marcin say? "We don't make stupid games." You could also translate tha to "We don't make games for stupid gamers."And the important part here is that nobody who sells games wants you to feel disappointed or left out, because you might not buy another game from them if you do...
