30FPS and 60FPS are chosen due to the monitor refresh rate. That's why it's not 24FPS.

I have nothing against great visuals at 60FPS. If CDPR can achieve that, more power to them. But if they have to decide whether to deliver top notch graphics at less FPS or more FPS with reduced graphics I take the former. And according to their gameplay videos at E3 CDPR already seem to struggle with 30FPS on next-gen consoles. I don't know what you can misunderstand here. It's just my opinion and there is no need to be offensive. :coffee:

Nobody is disagreeing with that statement, I disagreed with your statement and stance on gaming needs and wants, as well as the fact that you deemed 60 FPS not a noticeable difference from 30 FPS. Those are where I disagreed with you.

Name one game with 60 fps where a critic slated it for having such a high frame rate. 60 FPS WILL become the standard (when frankly I do not know), I cannot believe I am even arguing the fact that 60 FPS does improve gameplay, why would it improve gameplay for some games, and not for others? What I stated is fact. PC has thus far pushed the industry forward. Where there is profit to be made, that happens, PC does in fact have better graphics......If I have to prove this to you......well let's just say you might not be the brightest crayon in the box, I care not for a flame war. Well, for me there is no noticeable difference between 30FPS and 60FPS in certain games. I also think that Witcher 2 in particular is neither fast-paced nor difficult and I never felt my experience more unresponsive at 30FPS. That's just my experience and it's as valid as everyone else's.

I meant a certain bunch of people and I explained whom I count to that (not everyone who likes great graphics but those who thinks that graphics are the only thing that makes a game good and rate games like Watch_Dogs at 0 because the graphics are slightly worse than in a trailer).

^This. In a rpg it is barely noticable because you move your screen way less than with shooters.
It also depends on the darkness on your screen. If your screen is dark and running at 60 fps, you have a high chance of noticing one frame of brightness, though turn it around, have a bright screen at 30 fps and show one dark frame, you have a big chance of missing it.
So basically it really depends on the situation (motion blur etc. also play roles.)

Edit.....Damn it I can 't take the Tension. I bought it GOG!!!! It is a PC only platform and since they own it!!!! Guess what? They make more money. SO kindly apologize, because by your logic every pc gamer that buys it from GOG deserves better graphics. I also bought 2 PC collector editions and One Steam copy. So, lets say I do my best to support CDPR. SInce they do in fact offer better graphics to entitled to PC gamers like myself...... ;-)

Is it to taxing for everything else to have it or what? So like is Geralt's hair going to be the only real looking hair in the whole game? LOL

As a PC gamer I don't feel entitled to a 'better' version, but with the quality of multi-platform ports these days being on average, pretty bad, I'd hope they tap the full potential of PC. For the most part they have so far, and we know PC will get better graphics and effects overall. I just want to see them demonstrate how they'll manage the controls scheme, performance and UI on PC. Those things are much more important than eye candy.

Hairworks is theoretically possible on consoles. I don't know whether it will be in the final version, depends on optimization and what CDPR can achieve on consoles to offer at least stable 30FPS without framedrops imo. I think some minor AA would do the game a better service on console than stuff like hairworks if they have to evaluate features.

As for the UI on PC, we should at least give them the chance to present some PC gameplay with mouse+keyboard at Gamescom before we continue to speculate (PLEASE, CDPR)...

it's hard to discuss percentages this way, with no specifics at hand. Let's just say I disagree with your assessment on the Watchdogs backlash, so probably we wouldn't reach an agreement on what a 10% increase in graphical fidelity would translate into.

So let's look at a real situation.

At the time of Skyrim, Bethesda said the reason they combined a few lower body pieces of armour into a single one was, among other reasons, to reduce poly count. That way they could have more NPCs on screen at any given time. Here you have a strict graphical fidelity issue which has implications on player gear customization, gear stats and on the overall atmosphere of the game. Perhaps what you deem a marginal gain of 5 or 10% would have allowed BGS to keep the armour parts separate while populating cities with a decent number of walkers-by.

What's hateable about people arguing for higher FPS? Extend to others the right you have exercised so profusely and vehemently. Why does arguing for/against in your case suddenly becomes bitching in the case of others? Tell you what, do a find & replace on what you wrote. Substitute «Lore» for »Graphical fidelity».

I noticed my posts have been getting deleted (this is the second damn time) whenever I challenge that PC master race, self entitled individual and you NEVER challenge NOR delete his CLEAR flame baiting posts, he constantly makes absurd statements and claims, even resorted to name calling, then I get warned for taking it too damn personally? Ha! Here is his comment in regards to me.
