Issue w/tearing using (2) 760s in SLI

I've managed to get nearly all setting to high and run a consistent 60 fps (40-50 at lowest in bust cities) but try as I might I can not get away from screen tearing. I have disabled vsync in game and I am using Adaptive in the Nvidia Control Panel with Max pre-rendered frames set to 1 but it is as if the control panel is ignoring Adaptive. I get bad screen tearing in heavy foliage areas and mild tearing just galloping around. Turning vsync on cuts my fps in half so I am faced with playing the game at 30 fps or 60 fps but with bad tearing (no stuttering). I am wondering if there may be an issue with my SLI'd 760s but I have gone over every setting with a fine tooth comb and all is set correctly, at least from what I can see.

Any ideas or tips anyone might be able to share to deal with the tearing while keeping my fps around 60? It really is a much more enjoyable experience to play at 60 fps and I do not want to drop down but the screen tearing is ruining the game for me. Thank you in advance for any help or advice and happy gaming.

Edit: I reduced and so far it seems eliminated it by keeping vsync off in game but changed the Nvidia Control Panel from "Adaptive" to "On", I had tried "On smooth" but that gave a stuttering 30 fps. I am seeing about a 5-7 fps drop but the game is playing a lot smoother and over 30 fps so I am happy. If anyone knows what may have caused screen tearing still with Adaptive please share. I read in a thread that Adaptive does not kick in till you are over 60 fps, if that is true it would explain much but I am tired of Google-Fu'ing this and will settle for the game looking amazing (after much tweaking) and running at a decent fps.

Hi mate I'm in the same boat as you. So frustrating :(

Doesn't matter how I change the settings I get tearing. Ruined the game for me so much that I cannot play.
I get taring on 70+ FPS in 1080 p, and in 30-40 FPS in QWHD Would take anything if it doesn't tear so much.
Does anyone know if its a TW3 software issue, Nvidia control setting or hardware ? All my other games is as good as it gets with V-sync.

If anyone has an answer, I would appreciate it.

my rig: i7 4790, GTX 970, BenQ 2730Z

For SLI
Make sure both cards are being used if not force them for witcher 3
Make sure you don't have it set for witcher 3 for one card to sleep.
Try settings FPS in game settings to unlimited.
Make sure shadowplay is OFF in nvidia.
