Issues with the loading

Hello community, i wanted to see if someone has some way to fix my little problem:
You see, when I'm on the main menu I click on the "load game" buttom in order to load a game (obviously) and when I do that the game just takes too long to open my saved files menu. I wanted to know if it was a general issue or just me, and if anyone has a way to fix this I will be very gratefull.

PS: I play the game on low quality but when I'm on the game it works perfectly, the only time it takes to long to load is that of above and when I die (that the game loads the last saved game)

PSS: I apologise for my english, I'm from Argentina and I'm learning xD, let me know if you don't understand something.

Delete savegames, large amounts of savegames will cause that problem you mentioned. I only keep important savegames, for example before making a choice, and delete the rest, it will load much faster. And your English is fine :D

Yeah, in TW1, it took me 5 minutes to open my "load game" menu :/

Anyway, delete some savegames by going to My documents > Witcher 2 > gamesaves

I would usually delete all of them except the most recent one, just make sure you are getting the right one or you might lose a lot of progress

I'm going to be different and recommend that you don't delete them. You never know when you might want to load up an old save, and it works just as well to make a quicksave, then move everything else out of your save folder and keep the files somewhere else on your computer.

You can easily back them up that way without having to worry about potentially losing something important or having to replay a ridiculous amount just to refresh your memory on who said what in a certain conversation.

I would also recommend keeping only "key" saves, before turning points, start of chapters and so on...

You can still keep quite a number.

I do the same, and I have that some thousand saves I made during my five playthroughs backed up somewhere, but moved out of the save folder.
