It came from.... behind!
(Random title, I know, but I'm seriously bad at naming things - see egregiously bad username for example. Suppose I'd better get to the point, eh? xD )
[Insert amiable, panoramic greeting here],
I've been thinking since the CP2077 trailer launched and it was revealed as a recruitment effort for said game that working for CDP Red would be quite.... well, awesome. I love their games and drive to be independent, plus moving to Poland wouldn't bother me in the slightest (presuming they let me in of course
). The only thing stopping me from applying would be that I'm still studying and not quite confident that my skills are up to standard to be of any demonstrable use. This is all secondary as to my point (question) though, which I will get to soon.
Thinking on it further though, would it be such a good thing (keep reading)? While I relish the idea of working with these fine people (I especially want to shake the hands of the writers), I don't know how I would handle knowing intimate details about the games I'm looking forward to the most. I'm very much a no-spoiler gamer. Initially, this wasn't a problem for me, as I didn't care about Cyberpunk - hey, I'd never heard of it before - but, after coming here and reading a lot of what you folks were saying, this soon changed. Plus, you know, Mike Pondsmith's dulcet verbal mind-control.... err, I mean persuasion, might have something to do with it.
So anyway, long story short, my question is this: Would you, given the chance, work for your dream company if it meant possibly spoiling your most anticipated mythos/storylines/etc? Assuming you cared about such things.
While debating this might not help me in this case (by the time I will be of any use the game will practically be out already), perhaps this will help someone else that's on the fence about the subject. Or at the very least hopefully provide a talking point 'till more W3/CP2077 info gets released.
Thoughts?
PS: Sorry if my writing style comes off a little heavy handed - it's not often I get to exercise my diction. I tried to keep it to a minimum. Use it or lose it, though.
