"It takes three to tango" & "final preparations" bugged

Hi, i just made an account just to report this problem of mine. I would normally not take the effort to make an account to report small issues or bugs, but this one...well lets say it prevents me to advance the main storyline.

Lets start with "it takes three to tango"
I had some wine to begin with, so the marker pointed me to the room with the objective "meet triss and yennefer in the kingfisher". Only issue was, i could just enter the room and nobody was in it. I read that there should be a "knock" command instead.

Anyway, so i thought i could fix this by dropping my wine and pick it up, it did not work. The marker changed to the barman and objective became "bring some good wine to your rendez-vous with triss and yennefer". Buying the wine from the barman, marker and objective doesnt change. Looking at the quest list, the objective "meet triss and yennefer in the kingfisher" is displayed as failed (NOTE: the main quest itself is not failed)
EDIT: The door is now closed, the "knock" command is hard to get and have to walk into the door to make the command appear. But this time Geralt says "damn forgot the wine, is there a vendor nearby?" even though i have wine in my inventory.

So i gave up...

Try to move on with "final preparations"
I did them all except "talk to avallac'h". Thing is i cannot enter his room because his door is locked.


Is there a method to fix this or do i need to wait for a patch or something? Because i feel trolled hard by this game right now. Invest alot of time and effort in a save file (especialy your first playtrough), but then "lol nope you cannot finish the game".

Furthermore the bug escalated to a point that i can't use signs, R1, O and can't summon roach. In other words, my save file is ruined.

I also have this quest bugged. The quest started at bring some wine to the rendezvous without giving me an objective mark. I have no wine, buying it achieves nothing and going to the kingfisher and knocking on the door makes geralt say "I forgot to bring the wine" even if I have some.

Can't progress the main quest. I beg for a fix.

I got a reaction on my mail since i also reported this with "support". Got instructions to purchase the wine from somewhere else. They don't realise that the quest is stuck because the second objective is marked red therefore it can't jump back to the second objective. =(

It's just North west of Tretogor gate in Novigrad(I think he's there during daytime only).

Thanks, I managed to update the quest by buying wine from that guy. For some weird reason it's the only one that works, buying wine from other merchants doesn't work.

Buying from the merchant North of Tretogor gate didn't work for me. Any other idea?

PS: the quest "rendez-vous with Triss and Yenn" also appears red as failed for me...

I thought I had this bug because the "knock" command wasn't coming up. But I kept moving the camera control lo and behold the command for knock appeard. Very touchy camera is my guess because I must've tried at least 20 times. But it's all good for me now.

Got the same problem, I am now doing small missions like playing gwent, i am bored wanna do main story. please help!!!!!! Why did I even drop the wine, omg I so stupid. I had to drink it wasted a good wine. fu*******k. I already been 2000 at the hores. Damn bugggggggg. Just give me the wine please.

Hi,

I was stuck on this quest as well and after reading this post and running around looking for wine i read another post them mentioned that a lot of time the knock button wont appear.

There are several ways to make it appear.

1) Come towards the door @ different angels and keep pressing the use button . (A) on xbox one and (X) on ps4.

2)Turn on your witcher senses and run towards the door and keep pressing the use button. (A) on xbox one and (X) on ps4.

3) Face the door, standing right in front of it and use the AARD sign and keep pressing the use button. (A) on xbox one and (X) on ps4.

In above cases seem to work, i have reloaded several times to test it.

This only works one you buy any wine from most inn's Both Inns outside novigrad have it, and all the merchants mentioned above, The wines that will work are listed below
