I've been trying to get Nekker hearts and they rarely drop. But it gave me and idea. It would be cool if Geralt could target specific disection. You could either do the normal looting as it is or go into another mode where he does the examination animation and maybe goes into dialogue options, "need to carefully extract the heart" and it could succeed or fail depending on your skill.

Maybe you also need specific items to contain such things, like a vile or empty bottle.

I understand what you're saying, but a skill like that would be meaningless for most of the game since you'd use it sporadically and it would also make things quite annoying if every time you want to loot a corpse you'd have to tell the game 'loot' instead of 'dissect'.

And nekker hearts drop whenever you destroy a nekker nest.

Well in either TW or TW 2 we had a skill which increased the amount of ingredients we get, that could make it back.

there is something like that (assassin gloves have it) but only for plant ingredients.. also one trophy gives a bonus to that.

Yeah that is what I had in mind, doing it in the most annoying and meaningless way. Not at all in a cool, non annoying way.

I'm thinking:

- Hitting E loots normally
- Hitting Shift+E goes into a more detailed looting. Geralt does his kneel down animation and you get dialogue options of what you want to target
- So lets say you pick 'heart' and then the same system for bargaining for pay comes up but in this case you have to hit a sweet spot to successfully extract the heart.

The problem with Nekker Hearts is that they're wrongly named. They're actually "Nekker Warrior Hearts". That's why you never drop any when fighting random nekkers. A dissection skill wouldn't change anything to that.
