Items disappearing in New Game + in 1.10

OK, I've warned twice in-thread about attempts to hijack it to discuss problems that are nothing to do with the topic. Now, we're deleting such posts.

If you want to report something that ISN'T related to the DLC issue, then find an appropriate thread, or start one if it isn't there already. This is NOT a general-purpose "problems with 1.10" thread.

And if you want to complain, or respond to complainers, keep it civil, or expect a time-out.

They can't keep doing this though, especially on consoles. They have an obligation to MS and Sony to release bug free products that can pass certification. Console gamers are completely dependant on the developer and have to wait far longer for fixes. Somehow, they need to beef up their QA testing. People on these forums have been saying it for years.

Agreed. They should have a testing program people can enter to get an early release of the patch so they can get reports on the issues before releasing to the entire public and get an angry mob, because hey we aren't all pc gods and some of us cant do anything about the state of game we have now.

The fix has been released already. Just download the new DLC Pack from GOG and enjoy your fixed game.

I play on Xbox One, they have fixed there too? The creator of the thread wasn't specific about platforms, so I'm only seeing that PC was fixed..

No. I'm afraid we cannot ensure the items will re-appear if you progress without them in 1.10. I'm asking you to keep your 1.08 save in case it is necessary to return to it to get your gear or schematics back.

I have already put a few hours into the game since losing the Wolf Gear. So I reallllly don't want to have to load an old save and redo everything.
Will the fix at least allow me to re-find the schematics and rebuild? If so, it's annoying, but I'm okay with that.
Same with my horse armor

Some of you have reported items and schematics disappearing after 1.10. The issue will apply to DLC items in New Game +. We are working on a fix and will roll it out as soon as possible. In the meantime please hold on to your saves from before the patch.

The affected DLCs:
Temerian Armor Set
Beard and Hairstyle Set
Nilfgaardian Armor Set
New Quest - "Scavenger Hunt: Wolf School Gear"
New Quest - "Contract: Skellige's Most Wanted"
Elite Crossbow Set
Skellige Armor Set
New Quest - "Where the Cat and Wolf Play..."

For those interested in a more technical explanation the issue is related to re-balancing of items and their stats in NG+. The changes were applied in 1.10 to game files referring to the items. However, DLCs could not yet be patched in 1.10 (this is due to the game's builds' structure, which requires a new DLC patching system on which we are currently working).

I'm kind of lost... you could have specified which platforms are suffering from this issue (all of them?)

Come on it is the 10th update and this is unbeliveable, haven't you guys learned enough before releasing an update that break other things?

At least add an ETA for releasing the fix to other platforms or write that it's coming soon

If it's still with CDPR, I'd expect them to be working, but it may already have gone out to Sony and Microsoft.

Excuse me? Are you freaking serious? That is unacceptable. TEST YOUR PATCHES THOROUGHLY BEFORE YOU SEND THEM OUT ON CONSOLES. Seriously. If you can't provide a quick and speedy fix to those on consoles, wait before releasing the damn patch on consoles until after you've sent it out on PC. That way, if you do manage to screw up(Which you usually do), you won't screw over console players.

There needs to be a response to this. I don't know what. What will you give me in place of my lost playtime? The Hearts of Stone DLC would be a start as a way of apologizing for all the broken patches you have pushed out.

Affected as in automatic update? I have already read the problems for PS4 users that have already dl the 1.10. It kinda sucks that both console companies do auto updates on games w/o asking the gamer if they want it or not.

You can turn off auto-updating in your settings if you are on Xbox One. I think you can do the same on Ps4 also. When it asks you to download the patch on xbox one after starting the game you can tell it not too also.

You can turn off auto-updating in your settings if you are on Xbox One. I think you can do the same on Ps4 also. When it asks you to download the patch on xbox one after starting the game you can tell it not too also.

I already knew this, I was just explaining what I was doing to a previous post. The auto update that can be turned off is for Xbox updates. Games do it automatically without asking if you want to or stay offline until you update. Not like how it was with the 360. So the best way is to turn off the network & wait for something to happen, which seems like it will be next year at this rate.

As for the people who asked if CDPR is working on it over the weekend, don't hold your breath. As another post said that the fix maybe waiting on Microsoft & Sony, if that really was the case, then we would have been notified. All I hear are crickets. I am going to check for a thread for "Complaints about 1.10 patch" If there is not one started in tech support, then I am starting one. I will post a link either way.

Yes, but that is for mentioning bugs in the patch. Since all I have been seeing is posters complaining, why not let them have a thread? Maybe then they can stop highjacking other threads with the complaints. Have I made a complaint? Yes, but it has mainly been about posters.
