Are these DLC items that are missing then?correct
Well, making complaints about posters definitely doesn't get a thread.Yes, but that is for mentioning bugs in the patch. Since all I have been seeing is posters complaining, why not let them have a thread? Maybe then they can stop highjacking other threads with the complaints. Have I made a complaint? Yes, but it has mainly been about posters.
Yep, can't play my NG+. :sadtriss:Not yet. Has nothing on their forums! And we ( origins users) still waiting....
Ehh, who needs to fear the White Frost when Geralt of Rivia can handle things while naked?I lost my MaterCrafted Wolf Gear too and now im playing a new game: the witcher naked wild hunt.
LOLEhh, who needs to fear the White Frost when Geralt of Rivia can handle things while naked?
I haven't played W3 for a while but today I fancied playing after seeing the DLC was out... so after loading up my game I find my silver sword is in my pack with a red X through it.. then I find out my armour is the same... as I was a level 25 and all my equipment is level 26.Okay, so I just got my question answered. Xbox One user here. After reading all of these posts, I was thinking about not being connected to the Internet so it doesn't do an automatic update. With @Vinthir statement, it makes it official for my decision. I would suggest that to all Xbox users to do the same if they have yet to get the automatic update. I don't know how it is for PS4 users.
Oh well, I was debating last night about starting a fresh game, this will give me the weekend to have the game finished and ready for a NG+ after the fixes. My concern is about the HoS to be released on Tuesday. Is this gonna be bug filled? Should I stay off line when playing TW3? Should I wait for a few months before going back online with TW3?
Don't get me wrong, I love the job that CDPR has done with the beautiful location & character development. But, at the same time, the track record after the 16 free dlc has been a reminder to me about how EA treats their customers. CDPR is far better than EA, but it is easy to slip on the rise to success.
This is easier said than done. With games getting more and more complex (and Witcher 3 being one of the biggest and most variable games out there) they get more and more susceptible for mistakes, that even the longest testing-session could not surface. I just think that its not possible with a code this large to be completely bugfree. It's annoying, yes, but nobody is perfect and never will be. They are working on it and we will get to know, when it's done. No need for disproportionate anger as if our lifes would depend on it.They can't keep doing this though, especially on consoles. They have an obligation to MS and Sony to release bug free products that can pass certification. Console gamers are completely dependant on the developer and have to wait far longer for fixes. Somehow, they need to beef up their QA testing. People on these forums have been saying it for years.
You should have a Wolven Hour Potion in your inventory, which allows a 1 hour 2 level reduction in equipment requirement from upgrading from 1.0x to 1.084.I haven't played W3 for a while but today I fancied playing after seeing the DLC was out... so after loading up my game I find my silver sword is in my pack with a red X through it.. then I find out my armour is the same... as I was a level 25 and all my equipment is level 26.
WHAT THE FFFFFFFFRAK!. - WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU MOVE THE DARN GOALPOSTS AFTER LAUNCH. It's like a football match where you go to score and find the goalposts are in the next county over.
Then on top of this I find the DLC items are missing too... Seriously, this is screwed up. So now I don't know whether to keep playing (after going around finding Blacksmiths and Armourers to make some underpowered equipment that I won't actually use for long instead of continuing my bloody mission) or waiting for the patch fix to go in that may break other parts of the game.
At this late stage I am really confused why the game was altered so much. I was just about to go into battle when I realised about the missing equipment too...
I'm on Xbox One so am screwed to have to wait. The DLC should have been patched at the same time as the rest of the game. The fact that it didn't points to a rushed release. You should have a Wolven Hour Potion in your inventory, which allows a 1 hour 2 level reduction in equipment requirement from upgrading from 1.0x to 1.084.
If you skipped playing for that whole patch cycle you may be out of luck, but I'm not sure.
The DLC issue is separate, but it should already have a fix on PC (GOG/Steam) and soon for other platforms.
Welcome to the console users are fucked club. Glad to have you as a member. About the time there will be a fix for consoles it's gonna be time for a union break, which means we will have to wait even longer. Yeah, I'm different nowI'm on Xbox One so am screwed to have to wait. The DLC should have been patched at the same time as the rest of the game. The fact that it didn't points to a rushed release.
Oh and yup, found the useless potion (thanks for pointing it out). A temporary reduction is a waste of space... PLUS there is only one potion. It's a "Hey, EFF YOU... You can't use me now but here you can hire me for a short time before having to chuck it in the stash until you level up again!" type of potion.
I wish the update showed us the patch notes when you log in for changes this drastic. Just had to mooch around to replace my master-crafted kit because I was one level too low for them. Geralt running around in his skivvies is funny but the fact that they affected the game this much is just poor planning on CD Projekt Red's part. The fact they didn't take into account NG+ and DLC shows they didn't even plan for it. All it does is create... BAD.... CUSTOMER... IMPRESSIONS... and makes people less inclined to buy the DLC packs.. I sure aren't now.... I was drawn in by the reviews being so good and then come in to find all this crap.
I just feel like I bought a sports car and drove it for a while, then one day when I went out to drive it I find that I cannot drive it until I drive a compact utility car for several more hours until I am deemed worthy to drive the sports car again. Oh and half the seats are missing and the gear lever knob isn't there either... and the paint scheme has gone from metallic cherry red to undergoat grey.
Edit: Sod it... W3 is just leaving a bad taste in my mouth atm. Back to Mad Max it is... Will leave off buying HoS until it's bug free.
Nobody knows....it's all guessing nowI've already overwirtten my game save after playing all day... will I be able to still get items I lost after hotfix like wolf schemes?
the "hot fix" is the "free dlc program" dlc, download it from your gog account, (don't know about steam)Any links to the 1.10 Hotifx? What about 16 DLC 2.0.0.41 Hotfix links?
How do people with Retail Physical copy get updates anyway?
