It’s too easy to reuse gold cards

They need to change how easy it is to reuse gold cards. They’ve made certain gold cards the key holding an entire archetype together and added in too many ways of reusing them. The cards that allow you to replay golds aren’t balanced against their provision imo. With Monsters and Keltullis or Gernichora, they added in Witches’ Sabbath. With Skellige, they deliberately gave Melusine Veil so that she could be replayed through Fucusya and Sigfrida’s Rite and not get doomed. The whole reason they removed “Strengthen” from Open Beta was that is was too easy to abuse by replaying strengthened bronzes. As it is, there are too many answer-or-lose threats. Devotion will almost never be good because you need to run Heatwave and other cards that can answer threats like that. The only reason Syndicate can run devotion is because they have faction cards that can answer those threats. Melusine having Veil to block locks, poison, and doomed really is way too binary.

Having Sigfrida’s Rite, Fucusya, Bride of the Sea to reuse Sigfrida’s Rite, and other cards that allow you to replay golds without any serious cost is too common. It’s why cards like Renew and Blue Dream are priced at what they are. Witches’ Sabbath at least requires set up to some extent, and it can backfire, but Skellige’s identity of strengthening golds and then autowinning if you don’t tech Heatwave or Squirrel just doesn’t feel good to play against. Not to mention they now have Sigvald which also has very few answers by the nature of his effect.

TL;DR - increase the cost of reusing gold cards, and make it less easy to abuse.

Golden Nekker is awkward as heck to use once. If someone dares to use it twice, they deserve the consequences.

Just like playing Ball three times was abusive in the past, this feels as much.

Agreed. Scenarios were made doomed because using them multiple times became way too easy. Golden Nekker is even easier to reuse because of Alissa and how easy it is to get again with Arcane Tome and the natural thinning GN provides anyway. On top of Nilfgaard being able to use their location and then play Cantarella to use your GN is insane.

Golden Nekker needs to be doomed.
