Can someone please explain to me why Jackie has a legendary loot icon that isn't accessible? It's driving me crazy wondering what it could be.

I believe it's his guns, wouldn't worry too much you can pick them up in future mission. Also this icon is also for iconic weapons(Jackie's guns are Iconic) as well as legendary.

Ah. Aight. Yeah, I picked the option to send him to his family, so.. yeah. I feel like the pacing of this game is WAY off. It feels to me like they killed Jackie off too soon, like you're supposed to care about him as a character at this point, but you kinda don't because you didn't really spend all that much time in-game with him. I dunno, but the pacing of the story really feels rushed imo. CDPR even advertised this game as having some kind of incredible replayability due to the prologue choices, but the prologues are so short and meaningless that it really doesn't make a shit of difference imo. I feel like they really dropped the ball with this game in a lot of major ways. Oh well. $60 down the drain because I thought I could trust CDPR.

For example, even in GTAV, you get to spend a lot of time with the various characters. Even some of the side characters that you really aren't even supposed to give a shit about have more screen time than Jackie did. It just feels like a copout that they wanted to "keep the story short because people complained about Witcher 3." I'm not so sure I believe that's the reason why. I think they kept the story short because they got too ambitious and things weren't working out and they started running out of time, so they had to start over and rewrite much of the game before release, cutting out what would probably have been 30% of story content and quality of life portions of the game.

This game is a massive failure in my eyes when compared to the ridiculous hype machine that CDPR paid millions of dollars for over the last 7 years. lol, what a massive letdown.

I get what you're saying about pacing and the prologue, if I hadn't of run about the Nomad starting area checking out stuff I could of literally been in Night City within 10 mins, as to Jackie loved that choomba as soon as I met him and was gutted when he flatlined but would of liked a bit more time with him before that but it's the prologue so they want to get you hyped up to take your revenge.

I stayed away from all the hype and reveals for this game so I'm not disappointed with it, could it be better? Yeah for sure, a lot of stuff feels unpolished and tacked on but hopefully after the quick reply they made yesterday it is gonna be improved on. I'm still loving my time in Night City so any improvements made are a bonus in my eyes.
Sorry you feel you wasted your money on this but it was never going to live up to the hype that surrounded it pre release not many games do.... Take it for what it is, a great open world game with good gunplay, story and an amazing city to have adventures in. :ok:

Honestly, I've put 25 hours into the game and hit level 14 before even starting the Pickup mission. I cleared everything in the starting area. But I'm talking about the story of the prologue. There was just.. not much to it. I can't see playing any of the other options making enough of a difference that I'd want to play this game all the way through again. This is gonna be a quick one and done kind of thing for me. Oh well. I spent months playing Witcher 3, and months playing GTAV, slowly making my way through those worlds with a really slow burn. I don't see that being the case with this game. I'm already burned out on the crappy AI and unimaginative NPC system. The crafting system is rendered pointless by its poor implementation, and the looter shooter style weapon system is terrible. I don't like that I get a legendary weapon that's super unique and powerful.......for all of 2 levels before a common white weapon replaces it. That's not fun. That's bullshit. Basically, you CAN get legendary and epic weapons early on in the game, but they'll always only be temporary because you can only afford to upgrade rare weapons and gear, and only a couple of choice one's at that. Mats are entirely too difficult to come by, and you need legendary mats to craft/upgrade epic weapons, epic mats to craft/upgrade rare weapons, and rare mats to craft/upgrade uncommon weapons. What the hell?! What was CDPR thinking? That essentially makes crafting pointless right there. Why would anyone want to dismantle a legendary in order to craft an epic? BS.

So, is there a reason why Jackie's guns are like several levels lower than anything else you'd pick up at the current level that you loot them? Because both guns are SUPER low DPS compared to anything else I loot and essentially useless to me. I picked these up at level 16, but I picked the Chaos pistol up several levels ago (I think lvl 12) and it's still higher DPS. Wth?

"keep the story short because people complained about Witcher 3."

that is total copout. Who in the right mind would even think about that ? "Witcher too long half people didnt finish game"
really ??
IF WITCHER 3 WAS SHORTER IT WOULD NEVER BE GAME OF THE DECADE.

Witcher 3 had great characters, great world, awesome sidequests, and great LONG STORY. IF ONE OF THE INGREDIENTS MISSING THEN WHOOP DE DOo.

If Witcher 3 didnt have "LONG STORY" nobody would praise that game and it would be below average. Because all ingredients combined make it great.

It's just an excuse they use to save some time. Never really bought it.

Witcher 3 was like a delicious cake and one of the ingredients was game length. I dont care if some people could not finish.

didn't know there was a memorial for Jackie, the game is all over the place without any clear "next steps" unless you're on a mainstory mission that traps / forces you to go. Shame.

You only get the memorial if you send him off to his family.

Not true. I've left him in the car and gotten the memorial before as well. Because of all that happens, he ends up being taken to his family if you say "Wait here".
