No, by significant I mean significant. ;PAnd I assume by significant, you mean pretentious?![]()
Too bad, that not enough explosions shattered this movie for you.

Stunning visuals, gorgeous fight scenes, setting grounded in reality, intelligent, multilayer, philosophical plot, best ost in history. Masterpiece. Most significant cyperpunk piece next and equal to Blade Runner and Nuromancer.
And it does have a great OST, equal to Dune, Akira, and Last Temptation Of Christ...
Needless to say I've been hearing about "Ghost in the Shell" in particular for quite some time, just never got around to watching it.I agree with wisdom Ghost in the Shell was pretty and boring, all at the same time they did do good work with the weapons though. But OMFG could the movie get more boring?
Had nothing to do with the explosions, had to do with an animated film, by a ridiculously talented animation studio, was wasted on people standing absolutely still for half the movie...No, by significant I mean significant. ;P

Really don't get that argument. Yeah, characters talk in this movie and when people talk, they ain't moving in any spectacular fashion.Had nothing to do with the explosions, had to do with an animated film, by a ridiculously talented animation studio, was wasted on people standing absolutely still for half the movie...
If you're looking for bad Oshii movie, try Avalone.Next you are gonna tell me you thought Oshii's Patlabor was good.
You had to remind me...Really don't get that argument. Yeah, characters talk in this movie and when people talk, they ain't moving in any spectacular fashion.

I'll move it up on the list, say just after "The Hobbit" ... which means sometime this summer.I'd go watch GitS tonight. Seriously, it's that good. If you liked it, start lining up SAC episodes.
But watch GitS tonight. There are lots better movies - but only if you consider the top 100 movies ever made. And for anime, GitS is in the top 10. Maybe top 2, with Akira, some would say.
Ugh. No.I'll move it up on the list, say just after "The Hobbit" ... which means sometime this summer.
GitS movies boring as fuck??? First, since when fuck is boring?Recommendations:
Bubblegum Crisis (OVA's, not the shitty tv series remake)
Cowboy Bebop
Appleseed
GHost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complx (avoid the movies, they are pretty but are boring as fuck)
Black Lagoon
Gunslinger Girls (yeah, it's little girls, but they are cyborg assassins workig for a secret italian govt agency, very sad and kinda tragic... and the guns are normal sized)
Cyber City
AD police Files (again OVA's not the crappy remake tv series)
A way of approving of a post. A +1.Hey Sard I hope your not dissing the Hobbit, Peter Jackson might put a contract out on you lol. I think that would be a very bad way to go getting SKEWERD by a large bunch of little people.
EDIT
PS: What are the REDpoints for?
LOTR is a great movie, but extended edition was a special joy to watch..Fuck the Hobbit... LOTR, better than the books.... The Hobbit..... crap that was done just fine back in the 70's with a cheap cartoon.
its crazy to think of the idea of making a small 300 pages book into a movie triology.......just for the moneyFuck the Hobbit... LOTR, better than the books.... The Hobbit..... crap that was done just fine back in the 70's with a cheap cartoon.
