I'm confused by the godling Johnny's name.
Why such a strange name? I understand the game revolves around mixed cultures, but I don't want to hear such an overly american name. Even my sister who doesn't play the game said that this name sounded inappropriate. Why not call Johnny polish Idzi or russian Kuzya?

@Yasnomysl The devs have already revealed that Johnny is the godling's name for the English version only. Polish name will be Janek, while the Russian version is Ivasik.

Actually, John is as much a European name as Jean—which most certainly isn't Hebrew—is.
Etymologically speaking, it's less European than a name like Bjorn, but not everything has to have its origins in European lore to be considered European.

I am russian and i personally would prefer "Johny" over "Ivasik". Damn, i can't even take it seriously, i will probably laugh the whole game. xD
Anyway, Johny is not that bad imo. Better than Ivasik anyway. xD

As mentioned before in this thread between the lines I think the name Johnny is not necessarily his real *godling' name but a name he took himself to 'fit' in more in the community or the community gave it to him. That's the way I see it anyway and I don't think it should be replaced for that reason. Is it his godling name I am sort of fine with it, it does have a strange ring to it as it's a human name as I see it but I can live with it.
