Johnny Subtitle Bug

OK I found what caused this for me.

The mission that causes it is "GIG: Monster Hunt" where you go after Jotaro.

I started it before meeting Johny but did not finish it. Now after meeting Johny he is commenting all the time.

The temporary solution is to disable and enable the subtitles.

The permanent solution is to finish the mission and he'll stop commenting on it

I have the same problem, however I finished the quest and it has yet to go away.

I have this bug too. It's really annoying. The only permanent fix I found is to load the save before it happened, but unfortunately I progressed a lot, I don't want to complete all the quests again. I did some investigation, the bug occurs every time as you enter Downtown district for the frist time right afer Dino Dinovic calls you. I tried, it happens always. May be helpful for devs. Here's recreation of the bug:

Got an Audio bug in "They won't go when I go" It if you're playing as a female character gives you an audio sex change Seems lock on male audio lines for V for some reason lol. (That is when you arrive at the location and need to talk with the doorman) After that it seems back to normal again

Since a lot of time Johnny always say the same phrase and the subtitle never dissapear!

I'm playing in spanish but the phrase it's about a casino:

I tried to reset by all the ways and nothing, he says always the same!

EDIT: Verifying the integrity of game cache (Steam) works for me!

No this does not stop him from commenting. My comment came from mission with car surrounded with mines. now he keeps talking about fried synapses all the time and I have finished that quest.

Ok, fixed it by going to Clarendon St and that bar where you do Jacob Lambs Eye quest. Spoke to barman, and then Jonny continues his dialog about casino. Maybe will help you too.

After I completed one of the cyberpsycho missions, every time I start the game, Johnny says the following after loading:
"S'what you get for samplin' Maelstrom's supply. Strongest shit out there.
Nothing else that can fire up their burnt-out synapses."
Together with the audio, the subtitles appear, but they won't disappear after he's finished saying the line...

I had the problem with:
"Ha. House is rakin' it in. ..." / "Ha! Das Gebäude hat eine Glückssträhne. ..."

What I did:
- Loaded save game (with Johnny saying his sentence)
- Went to next fast travel point
- Fast traveled to Calendron Street (most South West point in Watson)

After load screen: Johnny said now a different line and it was gone.
Then I travelled to a different location and saved the game.

Verified the solution by loading the old buggy save game and reloaded the new bug free save game.
Johnny is now silenced

For whatever reason since I got past the biochip heist every time I load a save or continue from checkpoint I get an audio clip and subtitles that say
Johnny: Ha. House is rakin' it in. Wonder what the boss has to say about it
The subtitles permanently stay there and if I ever hit a new loading screen the dialogue repeats and subtitles come back on. The subtitles stay on screen indefinitely until Johnny says something different then they'll go away. But any time that I get a new load screen past that, the subtitles come back, and the audio repeats again. Anyone else have this or find a fix?

I am having a very similar issue. I'm out in the badlands, and if I return to the city, Johnny says "even smart-asses encrypt their comms, anyway, what does the message say?" and it will not go away. It happens if I fast travel into the city or ride in in various paths. Doesn't matter the quest. I just finished the Wraith's stealing Nomad Drones gig, for what it is worth.

In my case, even if Johnny does say something else, it just pushes the dialogue up a bit. It never goes away, even saving and exiting, fast traveling, nothing.

It's pretty annoying and I hope it will be fixed soon.

I didn't pay attention at it before so I'm not sure which gig this is related to.

I'm stuck on Johnny's line, it won't go away. He just goes...

Johnny: "poor bastard. his output's prolly out in albuquerque waitin', unaware little jero's brain turned to jelly."

1) Even if I turn Subtitles off, the bug persists. It shuts down for a few moments, then appears again to stay.

2) Reloading game doesn't help. Every time I load a save Johnny is speaking the last word of that dialogue, "jelly."

Is there a way to fix this? If not, I better delete the game till they fix it

Also... I think it only appears outside the city.
