Worked for me too. But all I did was fast travel to that point, Johnny said something different this time, but the subtitles disappeared like normal. Fast travel somewhere else, and it looks like the bug is solved.
This text is always there upon loading a game, a long with Johnny speaking.
Ideas other then going back and loosing 12hrs of gameplay?

I did it outside V's apartment door in the megabuilding; good place to just throw yourself into the plaza.

@Shoklen Thread merged. Seems to be a fairly common bug, and there are some solutions in this thread that have worked for others.
Thank you, looked over the thread and some things didn't work but one solution did, edited my above post with that worked..

There's a unfinished dialogue in Jig-Jig Street with Johnny. After I scanned a joytoy that is sitting on the stairs in Jig-Jig Street. Johnny then continues the dialogue end fixes the bug.
Saved and load the game after that and the bug was gone.

This!! I can confirm this works. Simply fast travel to Clarendon St, walk SE about a block or two and look left. You'll remember the restaurant if you've done the quest already. Just talk to the bartender and say you know the casino is cheating. Johnny will say another line and then bartender will return with Jacobs eye (although I'd completed this already). Took the eye, walked out and fast traveled back home. Save, and voila no more bug. Thanks shockey86 for this post. This was driving me nuts. Hope this helps everyone.

Issue -
I found others stating where the quest was and went there. The issue didnt resolve for me until i interacted with a body though.

Struggled with this for a full week since going there didnt work. Went back once more and thats when i noticed the body thanks to an item being on its inventory still.
