Judy romance update/expansion/DLC.

It's 4/10, meaning in game time it's been 4 months since Mikoshi. V would only have 2 months left...

This post is incredibly relatable to me because I think about this from time-to-time to help put V's 6 month prognosis into perspective. It really speaks to Cyberpunk's quality of writing, how V's story has stuck with me so closely even months after the fact.

According to my Steam achievements, I beat the game for the first time on December 18th with The Star as my first ending. I feel like I ought to do something special once June 18th comes around. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hey Judy gang :). Just joined up today and wanted to express my adoration for this amazing character that CDPR created. She's the first LI in a game that's actively influenced my decisions since Leliana in Dragon Age Origins. As, like in that game, if I'm playing female V I can't not romance her, and I can't not pick the Star ending so that Judy and V end up together.
For a little context in my first playthrough I went through the entire game blind and ended up romancing Judy of course. But when it came to the final choice at the end I had to spoil myself and find out if there was an ending where you be able to be with her. I have since done some of the other endings (never the suicide ending!) but none of them come close to the Star.
Also as an aside I saw this in another thread so I thought I'd ask some Judy experts, has any been able to find the gift she sends to your apartment when she texts you apologising for the drunk text? (which is really cute btw!) I've searched the apartment but can't find anything that would look like a gift she would send and I refuse to believe they would put a text like that in and not have her actually send you something.

That would actually be an interesting idea for a sequel a few years down the road. Rather than following V, the perspective could shift to Judy and we play as her instead. Would be a very different type of game, more linear in story, but I can envision some great possibilities.
This is actually a very good idea. One game that comes to mind is Ratchet and Clank. There are parts where they split up and do a mission on their own; Ratchet using his weapons and Clank using his gadgets and noggin.

A similar nothing could be added for V and Judy where V goes one way during a mission, with of course her weapons and wotnot. Then Judy goes another where she would rely on stealth, hacking and less shooting than V.

At the end, just like Ratchet and Clank, they meet up at a specific location and it's anyone's guess from there.

Welcome to you.
no we never receive jud's gift in our apartment or she hid it very well. no photo of her drunk.
I saw that there are new messages regarding panam that have been found. i hope male v could bring judy with him during the "star" ending that would be really good as a friend

Yeah, I think the lighting in that one might be adding some age...Judy ain't going for no 80 year old!

While the '18 character model was better in the cutscenes they showed, Leigh did a great job bringing her to life, and I remain hopeful this isn't the last we've seen of Judy!

ahahah that would be funny indeed.
but CDPR would surely choose Panam it is much more popular than judy nowadays.
besides, someone would know how to contact CDPR because many dialogs have been reestablished but I always have a problem when I leave the DS d evelyn I still do not hear the sentence of judy when she is leaning in front of V

As you mentioned that, I think that for male V Judy might find something even in Seatle where she left after having friendly relation with her. If you tell her about Relic after finding Ev, the next day you will find a shard about rewriting neural paths on her kitchen table. So that indicates that Judy wants to help, and with all tech skills, she has that surely might happen. I hope she will call Vincent and start with "Hey V. Know what? I've found something that might help you".

Cheers Judy's Gang!

It's heavily influencing my writing at the moment...depending on how things go it would be poetic if I managed to drop a certain chapter right at the 6 month mark. But for what we can do, I'd say lets mark our calendars and make sure we have a save ready for Pyramid Song!

I know its unlikely...I just kind of get a 'Logan vibe where they could switch gears and tell a very intimate and personal story for her character post CP77.

You can find this same shard during invastigating the Peralez's appartment in Dream On, which IMO could mean that she might get involved in possible future DLC that will explore more that storyline. It ended on a huge cliffhanger and given the fact that there are several side quest directly linked to it - Sandra Dorsett, Gary the Prophet along with the appearance of Mr. Blue Eyes during the final talk with Jefferson I am assuming (quite strongly) that one of the DLC will be about that storyline. I don't think that shard will end up being linked to the Relic at all, but that's just me.

but yes I find it so sad that judy is simply relegated to the rank of simple romance or that she disappears completely for male V.
(sorry for river and kerry but they have a less important role).
indeed for Vincent and Valery it would be so good to see Panam and judy associated to try to find a solution in V.
I will never understand this decision taken by CDPR to remove Judy from the script like that. Judy and Panam are amazing characters and I think a lot of people in the panam gang like judy too.

yes we know but let us dream a little ^^

I know about that all - case of the Peralez's as far as I remember was introduced to V through the hands of Judy - not directly but she told that V might help with that.

What I mean to say with that shard is that we firstly see that in Judy's apartment. Maybe, just maybe due to that research she came across with Peralez somehow.

Yeah that's very sad, how they've done it.

Judy and Panam are amazing characters and I think a lot of people in the panam gang like judy too.
That's true. I can't speak for the rest but I think that's the case for rest of Panam Gang. I'm sure about one thing - for me Judy is BFF.

Hey nothing wrong with that, as long as doesn't reach the 'I expect that to happen precisely that way and it didn't and now I am super disappointed' phase xP
what I meant by that is judy could have been more involved in TRYING to help V (depending on his relationship if you accept his friendship or more ).
I know very well that judy cannot save V on her own but they should have involved her in the story as well.

Speaking of Male V and Judy, I think after Pyramid Song she's supposed to dissapear from her apartment. The three texts she sends you imply that she's already left night city and the message she sends in the end credits is the same for the Sun and the Star endings so she dosen't know what happened to V.
I had a funny thing happen to me when I went to Judys apartment when I was playing Male V. As I was just about to enter I got the text from her saying she was in Seattle, but when I opened the door there she was stood next to the window as usual. She got back from Seattle rather quickly :ROFLMAO:

yes it is Judy who advises V to the Peralez

Similar thing happened to me when she supposed to be on the road. When I was near her place I called her to chat and I have her on the phone and behind the wall 🤣

She can't do it all by herself, but as far as I remember she is also one of the Aldecaldos in case of romance of Valerie and Star ending. But that also could happen for Vincent if she decides to get back from Seattle.

And in Aldecaldos she can work with Carol and Dakota to find the the way to solve the problem. Carol is the main tech of the clan and also Dakota has very good knowledge on tech.

Far, as I remember Peralez's first contacted Judy, because they knew she was a talented braindance editor and needed help with investigating that raw BD they had. In the in-game mail it's clearly stated they reached to her first because of her reputation and secondly, because of some sort of favor Jefferson did for the Mox. That's, as far as their connection extends I think from what info we can find in the game. The dublicated shards might be just a little hint from the devs that she might get involved more in that story in future DLC or she was initially planned to be more involved with that storyline, but things changed in development. Again that's just me though :)

Yeah I know what you meant and I already shared my opinion on that a few pages earlier in this topic. I'd love for more Judy's involvement in the game I just don't think that her involvement being linked to the Relic in any shape and form will make any sense lore wise. That kind of tech is just far beyond her knowledge given her reaction when V's first told her about the engram.

Ok... Now I remember, thanks for getting that straight. You might be right about those multiplicated shards. But the thing about that specific shard is that we firstly came across to it at Judy's place.

Let's hope they have planned more involvement for Judy in Vs salvation, both for Valerie and Vincent.

Not straight with with Relic tech but more of neural links and synapses - braindences are based on neural reactions so she knows something about that. That tech has been mentioned many times in game world - Mitch took a treatment, few times nanints has been mentioned on TV/Radio.

Well that depends how you played through the game actually. You can finish Peralez's story line before even starting Judy's personal story line that involve taking on Clouds, so you may come upon this shard first in Peralez's appartment too.

If we are talking post ending and V dealing with the after effects of the Relic, whilst looking for permanent cure I agree she might get involved in some way, but the thing is personally I have serious doubts CDPR will go with any post ending DLC's. I hope they will, but I have strong doubts they actually will put out something like that given the multiple different endings and variations of each endings we got. I know, I know - I've been quite pessimistic, but that's how I feel about it. :)

yes indeed already it would already be necessary that CDPR extend the ends in order to close the arc V and MBE ....
then for people who have finished neither with judy and / or Panam we know that they will not save V on their own.
I just hope that CDPR won't do a CDPR and just kick judy out of the script in order to bring other romances like in The witcher ...
but rather show the evolution of his relationship with V by being there and trying to help with his talents, (same thing for Panam).
if we have in dlc paying the 6 months of jacky or play a completely different character i don't think i will play it honestly

Got my doubts regarding the post ending expansions as well but when you think about it 3 of the endings are pretty much wrapped up, only 2 of em are open to more storytelling and that's the Sun/Star endings,I'm pretty sure they can make something with these two, plus CDPR can make us wow anytime they want when you see how big Blood and Wine was, but the worst-case scenario is that we'll get a shit load of content with those expansions inside NC that will boost interactions with Li's etc, or the worse of the worse would be to wait for another CP game to get more into the future of V which is just unrealistic in my eyes cuz it doesn't make sense that they would extend the story of a dying character to an extra title but hey I could be wrong :'P
(Althought I have my doubts I'm still pretty optimistic that we'll see something like this one day but no in NC :ok:)
