Yup. With Panam you don't really know her preferences until when you make a move as lady V. Judy's preferences are all over the game if you listen to her, read messages etc. Way before you romance her. She constantly mentions women only. Now if you say you didn't know, yeah nah you just decided to ignore it and think that maybe shes into men which is hilarious.I really hope they don't go back and change the romanceable NPCs to swing either way. Don't wanna spoil anything but it's pretty clear that Judy is into the ladies even before the game confirms it. I imagine it's the same for other NPCs, have yet experience those.And yes I OBVIOUSLY tried to get it on with Panam as well, but wasn't surprised when she friendzoned me.

Too many people think with their genitals and not their brains, so they see Judy and be like "ugh i need to bone her". Then they complain that she's lesbian. And then they demand that it's changed. But nobody seems to find issues with these kind of threads? They don't offer anything constructive.
Sadly it's just like in reality. Most men think like that with lesbians "maybe with the right man she'll be into it" shit and all that. It's frustrating to see it. And yes i've had those men tell me that, way more that i've lost count.

You should have a choice of who to romance, but not a choice of character sexuality. If you try to romance someone ingame and they reject you as you don't meet the requirements? Good. Realism. It's a game where we live in the world, the world doesn't revolve around V.

I dont disagree with this either really. I was SUPER surprised when Panam rejected me lol. The option to push the romance was there,I did not expect the rejection. I was like dammit. XD
It is all good, even though I am a straight male there just needs to be more substance behind just the looks of a person or what is the point of putting hours into content that won't matter for you? I have been in a situation in real life where I had feelings for one of my good friends who recently has been exploring her sexuality and even though it kind of sucks dealing with those feelings you just have to move on.
As a gay guy, I can't tell you how many crushes I had on straight guys who either turned me down straight out, or just faded into hopelessness. It's a difficult and interesting topic on it's own imo and something that could easily be explored in a story medium.
That is what makes the whole NPC preferences great, I lucked out by choosing a female in game (I really just wanted a character that looked good when I took photos for photo mode). At the end of the day a player should be able to pick a female if they want to romance Judy no issue.
What i'd also really like in future DLCs is add more romance content for all the 4 existing love interests in the game and 2 bisexuals, one man one woman because let's be real, the only bisexual in the game was a joke tbh.
Changing sexual orientation would be a terrible choice just because players want it. I mean, it would be major scandal for the company after PS4 disaster. The game is released now, people recognized Judy as her identity. In addition, NPC's rejection of the player also good for immersion. I have sympathy for Judy, she is cute and very deep person and I'm ok with her prefences / who she is.
But more romance options would be better. It's not good that Panam is the only decent option for straight men even though I loved her.

I was fine with Kerry because I had no other option. But knowing that we have characters with stories and personalities like Panam and Judy, and from what I've read even River is super charming, I feel wanting more for the male gay option.
Just star a game as Fem V dude, stop wanting to control NPC's sexuality.
Yes it can be a bit disappointing, but it's the same in real life, no everyone is going to fall down on your feet, even if you're a famous person or something like that.
I feel the romance it's quite good in the game, for either Male or Female V they're a lot of options.

But for some reason a female V can't experience the full Panam storyline, because.. well... the devs decided to arbitrarily make her straight. As a female V I hate it when you don't have the option to experience an entire part of the main storyline because some troglodyte decided to gender lock it.
