Judy ... ugh ! [Spoilers]

i was more bummed out when i realized that you couldn't romance her as male V =( oh well i like panam too she's a strong willed woman kind of like ciri or triss? =3

Panam is someone that I'd prefer as a Best Friend. She's in their for you--extremely loyal. But I think she's a bit too impetuous and doesn't really think things through. So I'd be there for her but not into her.

The underwater part of the story is definitely where you can feel Judy's character reveal herself. She's more attractive I guess as a person (even if I can't stand all the tatoos). Given the choice of straight with Panam or lesbian with Judy--I'd choose the later.

In fact, Judy's life in Night City is look like the Badlands, sad and a vast "almost" desert.
So for that reason she the only one who leave Night City (with V or alone) without any regrets... She left nothing behind her. Panam and River have their families, Kerry have his passion/carrier, Judy... really nothing. But with V, everything could change.
Judy : "Every time, I thought I found a home. And every damn time, I came away desappointed"
V : "Things'll be different now. You'll see."
And during the credits :
"V, I just want you to know that... I'm happy. For the first time in my life"
And it was at that moment she was going to confess her love for V.
I think she also expressed her love when she made that little heart shape
on V's apartment floor.

Judy got on my nerves a little. Its Evelyn thiiis! Evelyn thaaaat! Lady. I'm flippin' dying too. I'm a little preoccupied thinking about the rocker boy in my head, my dead friend jackie and so much more, but let's focus on your problems. Cause the tygers are baaad and the mox deserve the cloooud!

Judy is a very desperate girl trying so hard to find and save her beloved friend. She finds her and when she inevitably fails, it hits. She's a desperate girl lashing out.

Despite all my rambling I don't hate Judy. Nah. She's alright. As male V, I find her to be my least favorite friend, but she's okay. The stuff that Judy cares about were the least of my concerns. From a gameplay perspective, I do appreciate her character. She's this sad naive lady. I'm also pretty sure she woulda got herself killed without V. Her leaving Night City... She'll either find a new purpose in life and be better off or do something stupid and get herself killed.

Hah, my immature and selfish V was like: she's immature and selfish but all the red flags aside - it's our only choice. :D J/K!

I'll take one of the endings that broke my V's heart, as an example. The one that made V doubt her likes for Judy. Because 'boo-hoo what about V'?!
it's quite realistic, probably. When you learn the history of her's - it makes sense. Your V is just another junction. Not in a sense that Judy doesn't care about V, but that by this time she is maybe 'immune' to all the loss. She expects it. If that makes sense. And V has a timer attached to her. Even the 'best' ending is just a matter of time and maybe, just maybe Judy is just taking her ticket outta NC. And it's okay. Her life does not revolve around V.
So while Panam is almost in denial for what is happening, I think Judy is just being more realistic about the whole thing.
And am just looking at possible 'negatives'. Since this topic is about that, apparently.

I like her. After V left town with Judy, I felt relieved. V and Judy are like salvation for each other. She knows how to be grateful for help. If V is not her type, then at the end she says thank you for everything, in the finale she seems happy. She realized how depressed she was until she left town. In any case, V had a positive influence on her. An incredible game. An incredible story.

I hear ya. I'm not a fan of her character either nor do I understand why she is so popular. If she were a romantic option for my male character, I would romance her once to check out the story line and that would be it.

Like almost all fictional love interests in games, you wouldn't want to be with them in real life. I mean, do I think Yennefer or Triss are cool characters in Witcher 3? Yes. But would I date them in real life? No. (Even if they look like Victoria's Secret models.)
I would totally date them

She whines constantly. She's 'needy' as all heck, in a way that Panam isn't. Her attitude sucks BIG time. (...) Panam is far cuter in every way.

Its not like Panam would act like a stubborn child whose lolipop got stolen all the time? For me Panam is a way greater cry baby than Judy is - seriously. She mimimis all day long, doesnt she? In the end she even rages like a psychopath.... How is that cute?...

I'm not bothering with any of her sidequests this playthrough ... really don't wanna put myself through dealing with her again !

Pyramid Song is one of the best and most emotional quests in CP at all hmm...

Judy is hands down the single best romance in this game, and I'm tired of pretending she's not

It felt a bit rushed, like all of them. As if there was a chapter missing somewhere. Just like with River, it goes from 0 to talk of marriage. With Panam there is at least some flirting going on.

Maybe I'm just into alt girls and "we'll bang, ok?" rhetorics lol

So... Cyberpunk, dystopian world. You are a nomad, "marginalized" by society, part of a social group at war with megacorporations. You, specifically, broke up with your family and friends, ending up in exile, completely alone. You tried to start from scratches, once again, with a new "partner", who promptly betrayed you, stealing even the only thing you had left (your car), an essential means for your survival. In all of this, in the most difficult moment of your life, you... you scream. And there you are: you are a psychopath! Kaaappa. Not at all decontextualized.

I swear, I still don't get all the problems that people have for a pair of screams in a world like this one.

And the same goes with Judy - a character often judged by deciding to ignore her life and past. Still prefer Panam, but... meh.

Thats the point both girls backgrounds are a hard knock life - but one is claimed as whiney and the other one as damn cute 🤔hmm...

it’s not that i dislike Panam at all but if someone said and argue Judy to be a cry baby you easily could say it about Panam as well ;)

On this I agree. I think they are two complicated women, who - like almost everyone in NC - struggle to stay afloat and try to survive as best as they can, sometimes ending up being selfish or blind to V's problems. I, personally, even like it. I find it credible.

I'm not a "detractor" of Judy, huh. I simply prefer Panam - for her toast to Jackie, or for the night in front of the stove. I just wanted to point out that I don't think she looks like a psycho for two screams. :p

Yep, like in my very first message it's only matter of taste. But even I prefer Judy, I also love Panam :)

About Judy, maybe it's only me, but there is some flirting with Judy. Maybe more discreet and less "obvious" than with Panam, but there is. And it start right in the first main quest "The Information".

That's some Ninja-level discreet then. :D
