Judy

Please allow us to skip Judy's dialogues (or I should say monologues - she's really only interested in herself) during her missions. I don't like her as a character and I don't care much for Evelyn, so having to sit through her quests is something of a chore. I'd still like to finish the tasks, just without her nagging.

I've been saying that for a while but people seem to love her for some reason. Last playthrough after swimming, I ignored her advances and when Johnny said to leave I was like, Yep!, and was out the door. She sent a message the next day saying she's leaving and will never contact me again. Phew, thanks! Lol

I think the OP talk about main quest which are mandatory :)
But about your post, I have two questions :
- Why even doing her quest line if she that bad? I mean these quests are optional.
- I don't remember Johnny suggesting to leave her, if you play as female (he speak just once when Judy manage to hear him about "toxic waste"). He suggest to leave if you play as male, but she warn V several times during her quests that she's not interested by men... So she doesn't make any "advances" (or I misunderstood what you mean by "advances" :)

Edit : If you play as female and refuse the romance option when you sit on the bath, maybe Johnny appear afterward (no sure, never tried^^). If so, sorry my bad, ignore my second question ;)

Personally I think Judy is hot AF (then again, hot women are a CDPR specialty), but personality-wise I would have preferred someone like Yen or Triss from The Witcher.

lol....Interesting. From my play through, the problem I recognized with Judy is the writers forgot that they made her gay. What I mean by that is when you are playing as a character who is just her friend (i.e. male), her dialogue towards you comes off as if you are more than friends so you need to put up with her attitude and drama. I went in knowing that she was not going to be a romance option so I was just doing her quests to help her out but OMG it was hard. I don't have friends like that where you need to drop everything you are doing at the drop of a pin to be there at their beckon call only so they can throw a tantrum when you get there about one thing or another. I think they needed to have some alternative dialogue option, as you suggested...shortened dialogue that cuts out some of the more flirtatious stuff since it's not necessary depending on your sex. That way you can just jump to the important bits of the quest.

To be honest I didn't even need the diving sequence. It feels like an intimate moment, laying bare moments from your memory you would only share with someone you want a close connection to. It can be an option for ppl who want to see what it's about but I prefer to just skip it since I'm not interested. Much of her dialogue asks too much of someone who's just there as a merch for hire.

They should have just made all romances bi. Perhaps that was the original plan, but they eventually decided the main romances would be gender-exclusive. I understand why they chose that, but it does limit the variety of options for everyone.

Yeah as a hot blooded male if Judy called me up and said let's meet at a deserted spot, share linked Intimate memories and spend the night, you know I might be expecting something sexual.
I didn't hang around so she ghosted me, if the writers made her bi, every one would be happy.
I'm a "hot blooded male" and I'm fine with her being a lesbian. I don't need to bang every female I see and it's ok for gay ppl in the game to just be gay. Yes some of the dialogue is flirtatious, easy solution...just add an option that is more aligned with a friend. The same way we have dialogue choices based on your skill choices.

The romanceable characters in this game give off way different impressions depending on the dialogue you choose. Especially Panam, closely followed by Judy. if you go in all ride or die with them they can be pretty endearing. If you don't give them what they want without question they throw giant baby fits that make you wonder how anyone could act quite so entitled from the lower rungs of Night City.

It's good writing from a certain point of view. Judy is kinda used to getting her way because she's the golden goose of smut for the Mox. Panam is little miss princess of the Aldecaldos and is used to favorable treatment as well. Still though, they go from "Hi, how are ya?" to "Drop everything and worry about me first!" pretty quick with a merc. It plays well if you are on board but otherwise...

I've loved them or hated them depending on the playthrough.

After doing some side missions with her, it turned out she's not AS bad as she seemed at first. It was a strange choice to give her such an unpleasant first impression. But then she threw a baby fit and acted like an angsty teenager because things didn't go completely her way. Too bad.
