I've been trying to find some info on this so called contest, but I'm not finding anything about a winner nor a prize. What was the point exactly of it? I believe Insane was much harder than Dark Mode just because of the fact that your death is permanent. This isn't even covering the gameplay aspect. I find it weird to make a contest on this difficulty since it's not that.. well, difficult. I believe a prize for beating the insane difficulty would have made more sense cuz it takes more finesse and skill.
That's not to say I don't like the new mode. I really find it insanely cool of the Devs to release something like that and it's my third run through the game with Dark Mode as well as the Arena mode which I think I'm going to be playing for a really long time, though I'm finding their decisions concerning the contest and prize that was mentioned in the trailer kind of weird. Also I'm really curious of what it is lol.
IMO more devs should do this kind of thing with single player games. Most games aren't really challenging these days though and nobody ever even puts permadeth modes in. I hope CD Project RED never lose their touch.
