Just finished on Insane - highly recommended

Hey guys,

Just finished the game on Insane and it was such a blast to play. Just knowing that if I make an error and die, I'd lose all the progress made the fights a lot more exciting. For those pondering whether they want to give the mode a try - I'd highly recommend it!

Such an amazing game, I can't get enough of it =) Next up, playing on Dark with no dark outfits and no Quen.

That's easy compared with insane mode.

Thothistox, that really depends on how you play Insane... in all honesty, after getting one-shoted by 3 nekkers when I was finishing up Flotsam, I was walking around with Quen up most of the time and really overused Quen throughout the Insane mode for fear of restarting.

I really much prefer the gameplay when I don't touch Quen at all, makes the combat so much more fun =)I'm guessing Dark without using a single Quen will be quite a bit tougher than Insane with Quen. I don't think I was ever even close to getting dead because I kept overusing Quen on the Insane run. Right until the dragon almost killed me that is.

Congratulations!
I die a lot, so I don't even think on playing in insane.
I would never reach chapter 2!

Do you make it in your first try?

Insane is obviously riskier, but Dark mode is harder. Playing without dark gear is technically the hardest way to play the game. I mostly abstain from Quen as well, which adds depth to combat.

But really, story mode is simple compared to arena.
