Just spent 20+ hours on TW1 for nothing

After being knighted by the lady of the lake, I return to Murky Waters to find that I can't progress any farther, so I won't play TW1 ever again it seems.

Just my 0.001 cent of how I feel right now, which you can imagine, isn't the best feeling in the world.

Darkstar, why not describe the technical problem, and place it in the Witcher 1 Tech Support sub-forum? As it stands, the purpose of this thread seems a bit strange - just to complain about something very unclear, while there may even be a fix for it, if only the tech-experts of this community will have some explanation to work with.

Play and FINISH witcher 1 first, then do the comparison

"After being knighted by the lady of the lake, I return to Murky Waters to find that I can't progress any farther" Is all I need to say. It should be blatantly obvious that the elves don't take anybody hostage on my return and that I'm stuck with no clear place to start back from.

I've finished this game multiple times, it just shits me that I spent 20 or so hours playing a mess of a game to find that everything was pointless. I won't bother with tech support since this game is old as fuck and there's really no need.

This post was to express my general feelings about what had happened. I don't intend it to fix it by myself, I'd rather much delete the damn game off of my computer.

Wow you got to the end of chapter four in twenty hours, must have been cooking on gas, usually takes me a lot longer. Mind you I spend my time wandering around and enjoying the living world and beautiful graphics, time passes quick when you're enjoying yourself. Personally i've never had the Berengar not appearing glitch, I thought it was quite easy to avoid, just do all the relevant quests.

Looks like you may have just made a few errors with the Save Editor, or editor of some sort. You have completed a Chapter 5 quest in Chapter 4, have not completed the golem quest from chapter 2, and your Berengar quests are tangled up strangley. You have his medallion as if you have killed him, yet there he sits by the fire on the way to Murky Waters.

EDIT: My bad that is a amulet that lets you meditate anywhere. That's a pretty cool mod :yes
