The problem isn't usually the player, but their PC. The QTE at the end just doesn't work correctly on some PC's, sometimes because it's close to minimum spec, sometimes because of certain drivers (some high-end keyboards). So no, nothing to do with player skill. They're playing exactly as shown in those videos, and it still doesn't work.LOL, that thread is awesome. I mean, really guys? You could just watch a youtube video of the fight instead, following what the player is doing there, for yourself. Even a very mediocre player without much skill should be able to kill the Kayran with the proper strategy and preparation in reasonable time...
But I guess @Tommy must really like the Kayran fight given the fact how often he did it just for other people in this thread...
Hm, ok. But if that's a known issue shouldn't that be already fixed? Many other games use QTE sections as well and there are no problems with them at all. Doesn't seem to be like a really complex matter. Just saying...

I saved just before going into the lair, and haven't drunk any potions, so you may choose, what setup is the best.
PS: I had asked someone to do this quest for me before (on this forum, a few months back) couple of times, and I had lost some of my equipment (like the blue stripes combat jacket, as I got EE version). I don't know if it's a bug or what it is, but hopefully this time it will be alright.

By the way, I've tried to disable QTEs, but then I didn't see any option to save them at all. Was it normal? I mean, if it is, then why to add such option that wont allow you to pass the game at all?

The game automatically saves the changes once they are made . For the QTE`s click the launcher and when you get to the new/load game screen click options>gameplay and uncheck difficult QTE`s . It doesn`t stop the QTE`s from appearing it just disables the multi function QTE`s to a mouse click instead of left mouse click hit spacebar at prompt and possibly followed by right click of the mouse .

Could someone also fight the kayran for me? The game is not registering all of my mouse clicks so doing the part where you ride the tentacle is impossible for me.
