Kayran problem

Im fighting the Kayran and i cut off all the tentacles but everytime i have to ride the las tone i fill up the bar like youre supposed ro but it still throws me off. I have repeated this process about 8 times and i can never get geralt to stay on the tentacle. The bar fills up completely but he still gets thrown off

I'm pretty sure you have to press the Space bar to actually jump off the tentacle. The filling up the bar part is just Geralt stabbing the tentacle. Hope this helps.

Im using an xbox360 controller though so i dont even touch the keyboard

Damn, don't know what to tell you then. There should be some kind of prompt though. I don't know what the Xbox controller equivalent of the Space bar is but there should be something.

nope there isnt anything once i fill the bar. it just stays full throws me off then the bar disappears

After filling the bar completely it should disappear before triggering the next one and definitely before you fall off . Nice vid btw .

If the space bar doesn't appear, set a lower resolution, that worked for me in that scene.

i have it set at 640x480 for this part so that i dont have a slight lag. There isnt any lower i can go. The bar you fill up with X doesnt disappear. It disappears once i get thrown off

It sounds as though you have difficult QTE enabled . You might need to disable it temporarily . When in game press esc then options and then gameplay and see if difficult QTE`s is unchecked .

ok i turned off difficult QTE and i still ended with the same result

Did you try to keep clicking or pressing the button even after the bar is full . For myself i have to keep clicking until the QTE bar disappears before it will proceed to the next phase .

yes i fill the bar and all but make the A button explode and i still get thrown off

I`m pretty sure that`s where the problem is coming from . If you want to send me a copy of your save game or upload either one i can see if the problem is in the save itself or something else .

Updated save game sent back to you . Yep that was the problem the QTE bar needs to be filled completely and disappear before initiating the next sequence otherwise you get slammed and die .

ah fellow witcher I faced the exact same dam problem when I played (in my crappy laptop maybe that was the problem)
even after lowering res, difficult qte off, and changing key bidding I used to manage to fill the bar well before time still nothing used to happen and I used to fall off :/
thankfully someone from the gog forum did it for me.
I would like to know just out of curiosity what is your pc specs? is it because of low specs or really a bug? Seen quiet a few who were in this same situation
