it's not weird at all.I use a weird control scheme, esdf instead of wasd. I can't bind any keys to F other than exit vehicle. I always get an error saying there is an error binding to that key. I saw there isn't a choice the confirm key which is by default set to F so I'm guessing that is the issue.

I'm using it ever since I learned 10 finger tiping back in 1997 and started gaming in 1998 when I was twelve. So I've gotten used to remapping every game to ESDF since. But Cyberpunk kills me ... as you can't remap to ESDF whatsoever.
Lol, this is assuming they bothered to have testers use keyboards at all. Seems to me testing was focused on the console version with controllers. Here's what really blows my mind... in a company that big, with that long of development time:
Do ALL the testers at CDPR use WASD? If so, fire your entire testing department. Not a single tester ever expressed this as a problem?
If I was a tester working there; I would have spoke up years ago saying "Hey umm... I can't use the movement keys I want to use." It really makes me wonder about whether they even HAVE proper testing procedures in place.
I don't know how true it is, but from what I've heard and read, it SEEMS that almost all playtesting was done with controllers. Here's what really blows my mind... in a company that big, with that long of development time:
