i'm a left-handed player. Mouse on my left, KB to the right. With every game i play the cursor keys are binded to forward/backward/left/right.
In CP2077 they do not even let me configure it likewise... for what reason? I bought the game 2 months ago and had great expectations, didn't have time to play until this mopment and then i have to find out i am not even able to play my character and vehicles with my cursor keys? FFS, that's evil dudes...
Shame on you, Project Red, shame on you! Go 'Polish' this game immediately.

I am left handed too and normally I bind move forward on "P" and bind the rest around it. I have to play with a Controller for now which is very unfortunate. I dont understand why you cant bind everything as you like. It was possible in the Witcher 3 too.

I really hope they will implement more binding options with a patch but I am afraid it wont happen. There are not enough players with this problem.

From what I recall, and what I've read, Witcher 3 had the same bindings issue on launch. Could be wrong but I'm moderately certain that was the case.

Im left handed, how can I remap arrow keys for movement?

EDIT: Im using the numpad for now, but the F key binding is killing me.

Please let us remap all keys!

Same. (I actually like using the numpad, but there are still too many things that are awkward or don't work. That F key binding is so frustrating.)
This is an accessibility issue for some of us.
Not being able to remap a basic and frequently used keybinding like "pick up item" is a major oversight.
I wish game developers would test a left-handed setup, and even had a single toggle to turn it on... so that things like this don't get overlooked, and I don't have to test and tweak so often to get a set up that works for each game.
It would require few man-hours and be a big quality of life bonus for those of us who use a left-handed mouse.

How do you use the arrow keys? There are no close buttons and feels weird. I always use IJKL. Way easier.

I use the numpad and can map most of my keys to that and the directional keys (both the arrows and the INS, DEL, etc). Sometimes I have to include a few other keys like the shift and enter. This puts everything on the right side.

When I've used the arrow keys (as some games won't let me use the numpad), it's a bit more moving around of my hand for controls, but using those other directional buttons and the right-most keys, it can work.)

Trying to change the 'W' & 'S' keys for the Up & Down key bindings when trying to walk. The key binding error saying 'Binding Failed'. Patch 104 claims to have fixed these issues any ideas tried amending the InputUserMappings file no joy. This is for the PC version ?

For my fellow left handed peeps, try using the Numpad keys in the meantime. These are fully re-bindable for "Exploration & Combat"

It's still not ideal because the F key is too far away and others just feel awkward.

My usual movement controls are "OLK;" which is a mirrored version of WSAD. This I find to me more comfortable than the numpad as my hand just feels too tight over there and not enough keys close to my fingers.

That's what I use and that's why I had to stop playing after about an hour. It's unplayable that way.

Same here. Left handed and I'm using numpad for moving. Interaction should be on the * Button on the numpad. If anyone knows what I have to enter in the InputUserMapping.json for the NumPad-*, please tell me. Unplayable on "F"

I'm still waiting for a CDPR statement !!! Not a word about key remapping yet. :( The fact that they made the game primarily on PS and Xbox and then transferred it to PC and didn't bother to finish at least the controls is a pigsty.

Nexusmods key patch

Reposting the nexusmods patch for any who haven't see it. There are no words for how a fuck up of this magnitude happened on AAA pc game, but thankfully modders have already done what this clown show didn't.

I feel like it's worth mentioning that some keyboards allow keys to be remapped and saved to a profile. I personally use a Corsair K70 Mk2, which has this feature. Cyberpunk is the first game I've ever felt compelled to use it for, since the default controls are just that bad, but I can remap literally any key to any other. The K70 is pricey for a keyboard, but there are probably cheaper ones that do this, too.

While it's totally unacceptable for CDPR to shun the PC community and all left handed people in existence, having a keyboard like this allows you to sidestep these sorts of terrible developer decisions. In any game. Highly recommend.

PC player here had change to using xbox CONTROLLER which sucks because I cannot remap all keys needed to play. I am also streaming telling anyone interested until this is fixed do not buy because for a game that has taken 8 years to create and you cannot remap all keys is just wrong it is 2020 after all this should be standarf.

So I have spent some time and I hope made a tutorial that anyone can follow with different launchers of the game. Would like to get some feedback on this also.

Oh thanks so much! I remapped "F" to "Numpad7", you have no idea how much that improved my gaming experience!

So mainly that CDPR reacts to the thread "untouched nudity", because it is said to be large. Cheating on a pc's players is not worthy of their reaction. Apparently this thread is small. I'm losing the last vestiges of trust in CDPR. (n)

all these pages and reviews and zero response from the Devs. I shouldnt have to go into the .xml files or wherever they are to remap controls. It's almost 2021, wtf.
