Ins, Home, Pg Up, pg Down, Delete, End, the numpad, Right Shift and Control, Enter, Backspace...
These all look as "close buttons" to me.
And what I used in virtually any mounse & keyboard game that allowed me to remap for almost 20 years.
This is also what I use as a left-hander. I've also use the Insert through Page Down bank with Ctrl and Shft modifiers in games like WoW or other mmos.
We know issues will be resolved eventually, but such fundamental things as rebindable keys and the ability to disable controller detection are missing when they really shouldn't be.
It appears that we cannot remap the main use key (default "F"). This hinders the way i would like to set up my game. Could we please get a way to change this and any other key that isn't reprogrammable.
Different types of games can run into different types of issues with stuff like rebinding certain controls. TW3 also had a few that were hard-coded into the engine. Not sure exactly why, but nothing happens for no reason.
Plus, I understand that left-handed players will want a viable option aside from WASD. For the rest of it, the vast majority of the keys are able to be rebound. I'm curious, especially about the arrow keys not being an option, but we'll need to wait and see what the devs say.
Also, don't forget that this was a monstrous project that was put together with people working remotely on it for months. That certainly could not have been anything but problematic or outright frustration, but they did get there. Issues will be sorted in due course.
The Left and Right arrow keys can be rebound. The issue is that the Up and Down will say failed to bind in the movement combat section. They can, however, be bound in the vehicle driving section. Also, hard-binding the F key is a really bad idea. It needs to be rebindable to a comfortable place as it's used so much.
It would be nice if we could just rebind ALL the keys to whatever we like. It's 2020, this is a PC game, and there is no logic behind why they decided to go this route. Please CDPR let me decide what I want to rebind so I can enjoy your game.
can't seem to remap most of my mouse buttons and middle click doesnt work out right. logitech master 3 with logitech options. trying to use middle click doesn't register in game, nor does remapping a button to a keypress in options. ie map the thumb button to "\" and "\" to a command in game and it doesn't detect. tried in all applications as well as specific for cyberpunk in options.
I'm using a Logitech G502, and the only buttons it wasn't allowing me to bind were the two additional "trigger" buttons...because I have those mapped to up and down arrows. If using a similar sort of programmable mouse, go into its software and just assign the buttons to keys that don't conflict with the game.

My guess is that this was not a priority in getting the game launched. It's a relatively simple but time-consuming process. I'd be willing to place a bet that we'll see a patch for it in the near future.
I'd like to chime in as well. I've used IJKL since Quake and Duke Nukem3d (before WASD even was a thing). There are so much more keys on the left side of my hand this way. The fact that all bindings are not changeable is atrocious and as a cherry on top those that are locked are not even listed anywhere!
There really is no reason for it to be this way if we can change them ourselves in the ini-file anyway.
There is no reason to hardlock "I" as inventory, let us change that to what ever (and the rest as well), we will remember what key we have changed for it... Stop the handhelding. This is 2020, no reason to go backwards in progress.
I'm also lamenting the lack of remapping the use key away from F, mouse4/5 aren't used in the default scheme and they're great for such commonly used functions.
Please Fix this asap I'm having to use a 3rd party program to remap keys and I have to reboot every time I want enter or exit the game for the changes to apply. Very annoying.
Yeah, sorry CDPR, but this is a NONO.
Keys need to be rebindable, specially arrowkeys (left handed players).
I practically cant play this, Autohotkey doesnt work and Corsair iCue cuts out the second you press more than uparrow (like left or right to steer your vehicle).
This needs to be changed, asap.

I might have found a temp fix for this.
I edited the ini file and made it read only, that worked (so far).
UserSettings.json can be found here %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\CD Projekt Red\Cyberpunk 2077
Open with Notepad++ or text editor.
Look for the "SettingsLocomotion" part of it.
"value": "IK_Up",
"default_value": "IK_W"
"value": "IK_Down",
"default_value": "IK_S"
"value": "IK_Left",
"default_value": "IK_A"
"value": "IK_Right",
"default_value": "IK_D"
Should look like this.
Replace IK_W value with IK_Up and so on, upper and lower case need to be correct or they wont work.
Save file - make read only - hope it doesnt cause any issues along the way, seems to work for me (for now)
I'm glad this forums post is up. I am left handed, and disabled, so keybinding being totally custom is vital for me. I rely on set things being in set ways simply to play. I use okl; to move, u for inventory or interaction depending on game, I for sprint and P or 0 for melee. ' for special type abilities so that, even on bad days when can hardly move, I can do the basics to at least enjoy game worlds if not play to some extent but no. CDprojekt red have done this. I am trans too and this pisses me off more than any of the flashing lights or so called transphobia because this actively makes your game unplayable, after taking money. This is not up to industry standards. In fact, it is discriminatory to disabled people left handed people and people based on their location given the issues reported by users who don't own QWERTY keyboards, breaching the Human Rights Act, so this needs a hot patch asap.
For a game this long in the making and with 3 delays, this is just unacceptable honestly.
Yeah this release is a giant clusterfuck. Someone fucked up big time.
You can remap "exit vehicle" but not "enter vehicle"?
You can't toggle ADS?
You can't change the menu shortcuts?
You can't walk slower than what is essentially a light jog?
Driving is also shitty; it's way too easy to lose traction and start drifting when you're simply trying to turn left and right. Seems like they didn't really playtest this this properly on KBM.
I want to like this game but there's so much wrong with it. I'm really in disbelief. And this is just the technical stuff.
Also, Is it just me, or does the fact CDPR haven't even acknowledged this concerning? Like yes U/AI bugs and other visual/quality of life bugs need patching asap, but they aren't game breaking... That is why this game has 91 metacritic because bugs for size was worth it as not game breaking... I bet if reviewers were more diverse and using other keyboards than QWERTY as part of testing then they would of been much more concerned.

I'm not happy about it either but it's a AAA game that I don't think has launched across all time zones yet, so. This is why pre-ordering is bashed, because no matter how beloved a developer is, day one is going to be awful. Every time. Forever. Sometimes it's less awful but it's always less than optimal. I'm disabled as well and can't play due to the way I control the mouse registers as a controller by the game, so I'll just have to wait. Some games they don't even patch that out, I'm just praying they will with this one.
I can't play this game as i want (waiting since 2014) because i'm left handed. I don't want a solution right now, just a communique to say it's gonna be fixed, pls CDPR.
