Nice idea.

My favorite update so far is the song.

I hope there will be more music next time.

Yeah, but how the hell do you get the MP3 version of it? It's not letting me

I know we have seen the Leshen before, but I'm still impressed by the monster design on that one.
The last monster in TW games that left such an impact on me was the Draug in TW2.

Also, I remember the Leshen from my childhood when my grandfather used to scare us with those Kikimores, Vodyanoys, Leshen and Witches stories, and many others of course. These Eastern European folklore legends and monsters kind of hit home.

Monster with a personality.

Love it.

I'm undecided: are those crows 2D?

That's amazing.
How did your grandfather use to describe the Leshen ? Can you remember ?
I'm curious to hear about those folklore legends from someone whose culture actually has to do with that. :)

Err... uhm... now that you said that, I'm not sure anymore.
I thought they were 3D, but they are pretty conveniently placed.

Try Opera browser, it should work. I tried on Chrome and I couldn't save it on MP3 format so I changed to Opera and it was the solution.

I am pretty sure they are 3D or else you would not see some "low poly" edges on a few of them like the one which is the nearest to the "camera" on the right side of the picture. And besides, there were already some great looking 3D crows in The Witcher 2 that could fly in a circle. Now this circle seems to follow the Leshen.

But is is of course still very possible that they were placed there afterwards for the purposes of the picture and it is not "live".

Ps: Great wallpaper :D

It will probably keep going until it culminates in the "Killing Monsters" trailer.
Supposedly the CG trailer shown behind closed doors at E3 was called that.

Of course, if it was up to me the grand finale would be a Ciri wallpaper !
So be glad that I'm not the one in charge at CDPR... :p

Loving the Leshy wallpaper. That deer skull is just such a great artistic choice.

CG trailer? What about the gameplay demo? Even the E3 trailer had gameplay in it.

I vote for a Ciri Wallpaper (with a hood so we cannot see her face).
Anyway, the CGI trailer must be what they have prepared for us.

My favorite "Ciri inspired" image so far is this one:

Cirilla of Cintra

I also like the hands, they are like roots.
The igni sign will probably work better on this one than on the viking. :p

I'm not sure if they will show us gameplay in addition to the trailer,
only CDPR knows that.
But judging by the impressions of journalists invited by CDPR that CG trailer kicks some serious ass, so don't worry. :D

Basically he described them almost the same way, except the creature was called the "Leshyi". There were no crows though. It was basically a forest dwelling creature that would first make sure you'd get lost in the forest before it devoured you and what not. Supposedly, my grandfather, who used to be a hunter, encountered one of them in his hunting travels. But those were all stories to frighten his impressionable grand-children.
