Lol, the picture made me think it's Franceska on Geralt's spare horse when it came out, the Vesemir theory is a sound one.

The Vesemir theory is probably the right one too.
But that's not an issue for my stubborn and immature Ciri fandom:

If you look at the boots the one on the picture is a darker color than the one in the artwork
besides that place looks just like the place which geralt and vesemir were traveling together in the gameplay video.

Exactly. But that's the mistake we are making.
No one said this wallpaper is a scene from the trailer.

If TW3 is really an open-world game, we might get to travel through this place with Ciri at a later time.

I'm sure Vesemir is the person in the trailer, but this isn't the trailer.
Just the same location.

You are right.

Another thing I just noticed by comparing these pictures is that the horses are the same too.
Vesemir's horse is slightly brighter than Geralt's and that supports your theory of Vesemir being on the right on the new picture.

I'm glad we have solved this mystery now, just a bit disappointed that its not Ciri.
