Lied? You are very selectively oblivious. They said when they first announced this game that they are going to make a proper UI for the PC version this time and just considered making another version of it just for PC. However, in later interviews they were keep talking about how they going to balance UI to work as well on both PC and consoles, so there is no reason to make it separate anymore. So they didn't lie, you just didn't listen what they said aside of this one bit at the very beginning of development process.

And what is wrong and not PC with the UI they show so far? For me it looks good enough and it's combination of the best things about both previous games inventory's systems.

Nice work @Kinley! Those interviews were far more useful than the crap so-called " Professional Journalists" tend to do! :)

Yes and while that may be the case, ultimately all decisions artistic or otherwise fall on CDPR. It's always a balancing act with every game(where devs may listen to fans).

I still stance on what I fight for. The UI for the PC version. Having extra particle effects means game wasn't dumbed down? Is it by everyone theory that PC version of Diablo 3 need to follow console UI IF it's perfectly fine that it's working for PC? It was promised earlier PC will have it's own UI and how come out of a sudden is perfectly fine?

The problem was that the TW2 UI was not the best used with a keyboard and mouse because it displayed only a small number of things at a time. Now with icons there's a hell lotta more things on screen at once time and that's perfectly alright.

Perhaps it's time to say what exactly do YOU want?

Folks want to be kissers and defend CDPR. All props to them. I'm not here to argue with ppl what on what I think is right or wrong. They have gone exclusive route on the CE version and now no PC centric UI. You can defend them to death but it won't change a fact they lied.

@archav3n Why are you still on this forum? You don't like CDPR anymore based on your posts so why are you hurt yourself? The current UI is better than what we had in the Witcher I. So what, Witcher I has been consolized? oh wait...

GRID based UI is much better for MOUSE/KB than on gamepad.

Can't see what the fuss is about with the UI either.
To me it looks more like CDPR went the lengths and actually adapted a PC / mouse centric UI for the console versions and not the other way around. Should be obvious for the fact alone that there's glorious old school inventory tetris.

And apparently it's even possible to turn off / hide the 'recommended potions' section of the UI based on the difficulty level you choose, how cool is that?

I hate the fact that they are not gonna do a PC centric UI anymore..I really hate radial menus with a passion when playing with mouse and keyboard (which is 99% of the time spent gaming for me).

Why am I not allowed to be here? Is this forum for console fanboys now? You should mind your business. CDPR should defend for themselves not fanboys.

Plus I hurt no one and definitely not anyone or myself. If you think voicing disappointment equals hurting ownself then I take it you are not really matured. This happened when a game casualize and appeal to kids that ppl are not allow to criticize

The inventory yes I agree that I like it more like that, but I meant the radial menu for the Signs when you gotta use them in combat on the fly.

You don't have to use the radial though, I'm sure there will be keybinds. In fact, even with the controller it looks like you can switch Signs without going into the radial.

I always play with a Keyboard and Mouse and I like the radial menu, besides you don't have to use at all, it even in TW2 you had hotkeys for each sign and to choose weapons.

The reason I like radial menu is because I can combine it when using keyboard and mouse Running/in the middle of an attack/evade I can press the button and use the mouse to select whatever I want without interrupting any of my actions.

From what I've seen of the UI I like a lot. The inventory is grid and weight based, like they said from the very beginning. And yes they said that there would be a UI specifically for the PC but if they can make a UI that works good on PC and Consoles, why not? It saves them money. And imo a good PC UI allows good control with a keyboard and mouse. So what if its a radial wheel, why shouldn't it? It will have hotkeys, and you probably will be able to select signs with a mouse. What would you have them do then? Have you pause the game to go into some menu and select your preferred sign? The radial menu is quick and easy and has already been developed for the consoles, so why not use it for pc as well... As long as they make it easy to control with a mouse and/or hotkeys which will be there.

You have keyboard shortcuts, so use them instead of the radial menu. Problem solved.

People should just stop whining that there is no "PC centric" UI and clearly describe what they mean by that. What exactly do you want in the UI and how is it better than what is currently in.
These blanket statements provide no info and you just come off as whining.

Thank you @Kinley for all the effort. Good news all around for me, and I'm happy the devs were so forward with what might have been taken as bad news by some. It shows they have nothing to hide ;)

Your transcript on the new potion system, coming from someone who disliked the concept of the auto-refill system proposed made me extra happy. They found a compromise I can get behind.

Yes, proper questions, honest answers, the way it always should be.
And the multi-charge potion system proves that they're indeed listening to us. :respect:

No more PC UI? No more FOV slider? This is pure betrayal and serious dumb down on PC version. I hope CDPR will end up like Crytek one day. They have no core values now as when a dev grows big Call of Duty crowd is what they aim for. This is the worst news ever.

And sorry for my manners, thank you Kinley for your effort. We need people like you who know what questions to ask. Not some journalist that just doing their work asking normal questions.

Are you serious? So you wish an entire team of hard working people who love making games should all end up fired because of the studio going bankrupt just because there's no PC UI and FOV slider? "No more core values" "Worst news ever". Talk about pure over-reaction and just straight up not true.
Also why weren't you crying wolf and wishing they go bankrupt back when the Witcher 2 was released? I don't see a PC UI or FOV slider there.
But I guess it's fine since it was only released on one platform at the time right?
Believe it or not certain features have higher priorities than others during development.
We don't even know if Stan Just's comment about the UI was accurate, seeing as Marcin replied to a comment very recently talking about the PC UI being shown.
