Lack of variety in Sex scenes

From now on we should play the same silly game with the "go watch porn" trolls when they make a post:

"needs more action" -> go watch an action movie
"the acting is wooden" -> go to the cinema
"The anachronisms bother me" (not that I think these people could use such a word) -> go watch the history channel


Seriously, these posts are incredibly childish. The devs talked about hours and hours of sex and then copy pasted the same timid animation for every sex scene. The mature thing to do is to treat sex like a natural thing and deal with it in a manner that fits the individual context.

Yeah im disappointed as well, theres a difference between wanting mature sex between characters in a game (with a history in the series of it handling this way) and wanting porn disregard those idiots, as usual its a way to shrug it off without acknowledging it. Especially with the comments by the devs before release. Almost every scene is a copy and paste what happened to the 16 hours of motion capture they did?;

- Firstly. The sex scenes are basically the same with a character model swap.
- Even the romance scenes with the leading ladies have the some copy paste of the same standard scenes noticed with whores.
- There is no real variety in the environments and unique locations to set the mood.
- No sex scene has atleast reached the level of Elven bath scene from TW2.
- The characters are clothed after the sex, this is such a downer. I mean this is supposed to be mature game right?
- Why did the team shy away from full frontal nudity. Main female character lies there with bottom covered so that world will not see her bottom ? TW2 was better in a way in this aspect.
- Lastly, The scenes are too short for the long quests and troubles made to earn it.

There's your reason, it's not gratuitous, I don't understand how merely having variations for the two main females in the game would make it gratuitous. Did you play Witcher 2? They didn't just rehash the same animation every time. And there was more sex and it had more frontal nudity unlike the pg13 ish crap in Witcher 3 with the camera hiding stuff all the time.
That sense of intimacy gets ruined when the sex scenes are just mostly copy pasted and the same as the random brothel whores.

Well I'm not saying I like that decision myself, necessarily; I just don't see any other explanation why sex got the short end of the stick, so to speak.

Ok first do you have any idea how much work goes into mocap? The sessions including setup, redos etc took 16h and every sex scene is unique BTW. All the primary scenes with the two romance are unique and imo just as good as witcher 2.

Basically, what this dude is trying to say is that CDPR wanted to focus on making a game that is interesting, in general. Like, general general. Story, combat, and stuff. Not just... sex....

Am i the only one who would find it weird that Geralt could hop on every woman, while looking for his daughter?

I liked that they included the unicorn sex and i was satisfied with how the scene with Yen went at Kaer Morhen. Sure, it wasn't one Elven Ruin scene after the next, but we also had only one in Witcher 2 as well, the rest was also quite normal.

I think the lack of interaction with the ladies before/after it was more irritating for me than the sex itself or its variety.

Either way - the romance options are far more important than sex in the Witcher. I think romance was far better done in The Witcher 1 than either 2 or 3.

How can you possibly think mods will change it? I don't know of any modders out there that own a mocap studio to capture two people having sex.

No, animation by hand can be really good, there are tonnes of examples out there done by amateur animators for you to check out, not gonna tell where because that would probably break some rule 34 and get me banned. Animation itself is extremely tedious, so I don't know if any modder would be willing to spend the time to create it, but it has been done before for various games with varying results of success.

That's irrelevant, the animation in that is made to be easy and accessible, it's not the same as REDengine....

Plus it makes me feel like an idiot watching videogame-sex alone in the livingroom lol
