Language setting is reset everytime the game started

same here.
Any workarounds for steam version?
I tried to configure the language in steam game-preferences (4.5 gb download). I changed it to german. After starting the game, Interface, Voice and Subtitles worked in german. But if i changed some of these (for example i changed voice to englisch) it's gone after restart again. So, at least its possible to change every language setting to one language by the steam-preferences.

PC - When I adjust some properties in the game, whether graphics or sound, the language returns to standard English, including subtitles. I believe that the game is not saving the basic language settings correctly.

When I adjust the game to my native language (Portuguese) after reload, the game returns to the default language.

In the start menu, there is no longer the option to change the language (sound) of the game (just writing).

I have the same problem with the German version of the game. I'd love to have the original language in sound, but I'm finding it easier to work with UI in my native language. Everytime I restart the game, the voice options are set back to standard ... please have a look at this, CD Project Red <3

@penelope203 Did you install the hotfix?

..Language can be changed in game settings; the game tends to “forget” the language you’ve chosen on each launch – to fix it edit in a text editor “bin\x64\steam_emu.ini” (Steam version) or “goggame-1423049311.info” (GOG), so the game would default to the language of your choice. :)

Same here from Hong Kong player. Im tired to do setting every time when I restart the game.
I bought the game from Steam. The game properties on Steam only got Simplify Chinese selection but no Traditional Chinese ... WHY??????
Say again Im tired to do setting every time!!!
Traditional Chinese and Simplify Chinese are totally difference. I hope CDPR can understand this s a very low-level problem. It not been fixed on 1.04.

The last update made my game worse apparently CD Project is not good on this issue. The language setting they said corrected did not improve, it still turns to default on Steam. The rarely crashing game has now begun to crash frequently. I also verified the files on Steam, but I couldn't get any results. A new update is essential.

There is no such file in that location (Steam version)...

This only works if you want to use the same language to audio and text. If you want to use english audio, and - in my case - hungarian text, the text settings reset after every start... :(

Same here. I want to use English audio with Polish subtitles and it's always reset me to the settings from GOG config

That's what you get when deciding to pay more for marketing and cut on actual specialists.

Config file has only 1 record to get language info from and 3 different settings in game.

I want to play the game in English audio but with French interface and subtitles but it keeps resetting each time I start the game. I hope CDProjektRed will fix this issue soon!

Same problem here. I have to set Czech from English after every game launch. GoG 1.04

Guys .. found solution for STEAM - just start a game (and copy file shortcut) from original game directory
- go to STEAM
- open game properties -> local files
- go to bin/x64/ and run Cyberpunk2077 (copy this icon to desktop)
ok?
