Latest Nvidia drivers cause a lot of issues with FrameGen.

Latest Nvidia drivers (572.16) are causing lots of issues while using DLSS Frame Generation in Cyberpunk only.

-Consistent crashes after about 30 minutes of gameplay.
-Stutters and frame loss when cycling between menus.
-FrameGen randomly turning off/not working properly during gameplay, or when plugging/unplugging a controller.

All of those issues have been solved for me after rolling back to previous driver version (566.36).

Please look into this issue as there are lots of reports online of similar problems.

You might also want to try the beta 571.96 version. It doesn't have all these issues and runs better than the older official driver release.

During the setup process you can choose to install the drivers only. I recommend doing a full sweep with display driver uninstaller (DDU) in safe mode before proceeding with the installation.

It happens with more that CP2077, it is any game which includes DLSS4 Frame Generation. It is an issue with frame generation is combination with G-Sync and high default refresh rates. Here is the link to the community post tracking the issue with a few documented workarounds. Many, including myself have had random successes, think we’ve found a pattern only to be disappointed when the crashes return. Everyone should be making a lot more noise about this. NVIDIA continues to publicly ignore it.

Would be awesome if CD Project Red could puts some pressure on NVIDIA.

I have this problem on my 5090, as I activate the framegen the game stops at startup even before the logo. And it's just this game no other games crashes, and I made a video.

Yeah, I’ve been running into the same stuff with 572.16, especially the random FrameGen dropouts and weird stutters in menus. Rolling back to 566.36 helped a lot for me too. Kinda wild that it’s mostly affecting Cyberpunk. Hope Nvidia patches this soon. mymilestonecard

Dear Nvidia I found the culprit. In nVidia APP disable in Settings / Functions / Game Filters and photo mode. And the game run flawlessly.
