Launch message screens not closing.

Since 2,3, every time I start up the game I have to accept the User Agreement and get prompts to link my account. I’m on PS5.

Anyone else having this happen? It’s getting a bit silly.

I cant play since the update. whats wrong???

Quite annonying :(
Did you try to clear the cache, accept the user agreement and link your account?
I don't remember anyone else mentionning such issue on the forum :(
And if it doesn't work maybe directly contact the support (not sure which category, but I guess this one should be fine).

I got a similar problem.

Since Update to 2.3, whenever I start Cyberpunk, the client claims, that my game version and phantom liberty version are not compatible, as shown in the first pic.

then when I click on the "download Phantom Liberty", the game crashes claiming that the tweakDB were corrupt or not present. I did already do a complete fresh reinstall, also removing the folders that remain when just uninstalling by steam. I did not put my stored save files back in and did not mod the game in any way.

The steam-file-check mentioned in the error message was done several times now and never had any positive effect on the error.

Prior to 2.3 I was able to play Cyberpunk + Phantom Liberty just fine with minimal issues, now I can only play Cyberpunk without PL.

EDIT: rolled back to 2.21 and everything works fine again... sorry, but 2.3 is not worth this trouble to me.

When entering the game after the patch, this empty window opens, no keys work, I can only exit the game by holding down 'escape'.

Using any mods, or have you ever used any in the past?

(There's one other member that posted exactly this, but they said they had been using a translation mod.)

Hey everyone!

I had a similar issue with a blank user agreement screen and wanted to share how I fixed it (using the GOG Galaxy client):

1.Change the game language to English
2.Launch the game and accept the user agreement
3.Change the language back to your preferred one

This issue seems to be fairly common among Russian-speaking users.

The cause appears to be the Russian voiceover for Phantom Liberty, which is automatically downloaded when selecting Russian during installation.

Maybe the same thing happens with other languages — so make sure your voiceover isn't a community-made mod.

What makes this tricky is that the game doesn’t inform the user that this particular voiceover is actually a mod. Since it's delivered through the official client, it’s easy to assume it’s part of the standard installation.

While the workaround above does help, I believe it would be useful if the developers could look into this — or at least consider adding a note during installation to avoid confusion.

Hope this helps someone!

Can everyone having the issue try this? Let's see if it works and which languages it's affecting.

Please, note that if you are using a community-made mod for your language, that will not be supported. For that, contact the mod author and let them know that it's failing to display the message. (Or the steps above may work for that, too. Who knows?)

Son of gun! That worked! Many thanks!

Every time I open the game I see the EULA and it disappears. I am unable to access anything other then pressing Escape to close the game, the other buttons dont work at all.

I did a clean install of the game, I put it on a different SSD and its just this again and again...
In fact I already accepted the EULA that tells me I dont own this game and they can remove it when ever they want and They did... So I accept that EULA on the steam CD project red uploader screen thing. And then in game it wants me to re accept it, but its just unusable...

I just want to finish this game. I've already had many weird bugs with no sound, permanent walking with my inventory empty and really random things but this one just wont let me finish the game 16 hours in T-T I feel like i've spent 4 hours extra just restarting the game and troubleshooting random things to get it to run.

I have a AMD 7900X and a Nvidia 4070, I should not be having any issues.

Please some one help me play this game so I can get my moneys worth DX

I only have the base game, I do not have what ever Phantom DLC is, I think the game thinks I do?

I don't understand how to change language outside the game. I have installed GOG Galaxy and doesn't see options for that.

I also have this game. I wanted to play again after having a break for a while, and lo-and-behold, I cannot even get into the main menu.
I have the steam version, and I cannot play it at all!
Is there no official response yet?

I have tried:

1. Verifying the game files
2. Changing language to non-english and back (started in English)
3. Changed my OS system language to English (UK)
4. Updating graphics drivers
5. Using the culture=en argument in the steam properties

Nothing (obviously) has worked.

Just to be sure, try to perform a clean install of the game as explained here :
